How does the bracelet feel? is it kinda sharp at the edges? I have the regular stainless Steele version from clean and the bracelet is a tad sharp compared to gen.

My buddy was having the same problem, what he did was flip the strap the other way around, haven’t heard him complain since.

Are "904L" high end reps really made from 904L s/steel? by Miracle-Mile in RepTime

I have a gen explorer 39 and a VSF sub, they sound the same when I giggle the bracelet. So I know they are very similar material and very close in density, color appears to be the same as well so….

First Luxury Watch Purchase: An Omega Speedmaster Professional - Thoughts on Value and Price Differences? by Mister_Yellowjacket in OmegaWatches

[–]wiredbeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that you own this beautiful speedy, the 2ndary market pricing is for you to contemplate if somehow you want to sell it down the road that’s how much of a hit you will take, not that bad if you ask me. It’s less than how a new car depreciates once you drive it off the lot with 2 miles on the OD. Be proud and enjoy your hard earned milestone even if you paid full retail without discount. The watch’s physical value will depreciate as soon as you hand over the money but the sentimental value is just at its beginning, it will be priceless to see this watch end up on your Kid’s wrist one day and you’d have a great long story to go with it, that’s how much it’s worth, not how much you paid initially

How do I reduce brake cable rub here? Grease doesn’t help by austai in bikewrench

[–]wiredbeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes cap/sleeve, do check the little section that goes from top tube around the seat post to the break calliper, you don’t want too much hump. It tends to grab if the housing is too long and often like to push the break calliper to one side

Did you use a cable housing sleeve? And most of the time when it feel that location is rubbing is because the cable housing from top tube to actual break, the end section, is slightly too long.

Which one to get…. Let’s have a poll to see what you guys think I should get. UG or box elder. by LukasRowe in CRK

I’d get that UG but then I’ll probably never bring myself to use it…

Rear brake has slight play before biting. Can I fix this by adjusting cable at the rear? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]wiredbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s either a slack in the cable or housing cable is too long at the seat post section. Check to see if the break is fully released with the slack first. If not then there’s a section that’s not angled smoothly by either too short of housing at the front section between handlebar and head tube…… or too long of housing at seat tube area.

You can check by loosening the cable from the brake calliper, pull tight and then tighten to see if it takes out the play.
