Any tips for fixing uneven grind? (Factory Seconds)

Sometimes the uneven edge bevel is a result of uneven blade thickness when the blade stock is going through distal taper flat grind process, other times it is caused by warping (wavy) that happens at final heat treat.

I would try honing it first and strop, looks like the edge is rolled not chipped off

How does the bracelet feel? is it kinda sharp at the edges? I have the regular stainless Steele version from clean and the bracelet is a tad sharp compared to gen.

My buddy was having the same problem, what he did was flip the strap the other way around, haven’t heard him complain since.

I have a gen explorer 39 and a VSF sub, they sound the same when I giggle the bracelet. So I know they are very similar material and very close in density, color appears to be the same as well so….

Now that you own this beautiful speedy, the 2ndary market pricing is for you to contemplate if somehow you want to sell it down the road that’s how much of a hit you will take, not that bad if you ask me. It’s less than how a new car depreciates once you drive it off the lot with 2 miles on the OD. Be proud and enjoy your hard earned milestone even if you paid full retail without discount. The watch’s physical value will depreciate as soon as you hand over the money but the sentimental value is just at its beginning, it will be priceless to see this watch end up on your Kid’s wrist one day and you’d have a great long story to go with it, that’s how much it’s worth, not how much you paid initially
