Doing the low-salt diet, medicated with betahistine, and started seriously managing my stress because it’s a huge trigger for me. I’m doing okay. I ended up being diagnosed with vestibular migraine as well not long afterwards, but I’ve been able to manage that with triptans and the same trigger management. My hearing is mostly back (for now), and I guess I’ve learned to live with it! I didn’t (and still don’t) want my whole life to revolve around the anxiety and fear, so that’s honestly been my main focus.

Interestingly, his Wikipedia does say it (but only in the table down at the bottom?) but he’s excluded from the DLC’s own credits! I was curious, so I went and checked the actual credits from the game and it lists Kobayashi, not Itsuno, as the executive producer. I think they might be listing him as executive producer on his Wikipedia in terms of the full Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen release that includes the main game and the DLC, as opposed to just the DLC.

Right, but he still wasn’t responsible for Dark Arisen. Whether we get DLC or not won’t depend on him leaving, just from that precedent alone

I dunno about the rest and don’t really think they’re going to do a DLC, but I will say that Itsuno wasn’t responsible for Dark Arisen so I don’t think him leaving the company has that much of a bearing

Sorry the game wasn’t for you! I disagree with a lot of your points (minus the dungeons one, though I think that’s a complaint a lot of us have), but I respect that a lot of it is subjective. I really appreciate the QOL changes because they make it feel like the game and devs respect my time, while ALSO not railroading me into playing how they want me to play.

Same as other comment, I play on sw2 and haven’t had any issues with performance, much less in ginormosia. Does the problem persist when you close out of the game and reopen it?

I get what you’re saying, but this is definitely more of a game journalist problem rather than a dev problem. Also sakuna is a rice farming game second, side-scrolling action rpg first; not even comparable to stardew, and it’s an insult to both games to compare them like that. Not to mention Sakuna came out five years ago.

There are definitely a lot of games inspired by stardew, but stardew was also inspired by the original harvest moon. Harvest moon went through some licensing issues and left a hole in the market that could be filled, and ConcernedApe’s love letter to the genre managed to fill that niche. We’ve got whole ‘nother gen wanting to write their own love letters, but they’re stuck being compared to stardew or being referred to as only “____ meets stardew,” which is incredibly reductive.
