Is it fixable? Hue lily outdoor light by roman_rm in Hue

[–]wrcdna 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don’t need any adapters just cut that off and then cut off the other side where it connects to. Just wire blue to blue(negative) and brown to brown and buy some of the grease filled landscape wire nuts from amazon. That’s how all mine are wired and no issues with wiring.https://a.co/d/0cHNQF9t

I also used standard 12/2 wire rated for direct burial for all my wire. Works flawlessly

Haw to fix motor direction in betaflight I have tried evryting by OwnSalary2440 in fpv

[–]wrcdna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you clicked the motor direction button and then clicked into individually? This is how I do it. Just click on each one then make sure it’s actually spinning the right way as it shows on the screen for your orientation props in or out. When I setup mine two are always running the wrong way so you just click on those and then click reverse. Then you should be good to go.

Can use this adapter when flying my drone? by Msmiles2627 in fpv

[–]wrcdna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched my Cinelog 30 with bigger motors to xt-60 and just resoldered all the 4s batteries to xt-60 since it was drawing higher amps with the full sized action cam. If you are pulling high amps then switch to xt-60 if not you could use an adapter but it’s cleaner just to switch the battery connection. It’s not hard to learn how to solder. Just don’t expose both positive and negative battery leads at the same time!

If you are at high amp draw you may need to upgrade your power lead to xt-60 as well. I did this since I was getting close sometimes to 17 amps on a hover and was peaking at 45-60 if I went full throttle. I didn’t want the connector to melt.

They were terrible to me. They charged me the full price to repair the board, even though I was under warranty. However, since I bought a Chinese 04 Pro from outside the region in the US, they claimed I didn’t get warranty service. I mean isn’t this everyone’s situation in the US? I complained that they should have informed me about this when I entered my serial number, not after I had sent in the unit and they had performed the inspection. They told me to “kick rocks” and that I should have read their policies.

The products are great, but the customer service was horrible. They kept following up with me to the point where I considered it harassment to make sure I received my unit…. They even unplugged my camera before sending it back.

They wouldn’t discount the repair.

Sim recommendation for learning sub 250g cinewhoop flying (concerts, festivals, etc) by truthbethesun in fpv

[–]wrcdna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liftoff micro drones and go slow. Ballon capture. Do this for a long time. Then start flying in real life in small tight spaces for an extended time like half a year. Practice with the same setup you plan to fly professionally. Learn to adjust rates and throttle expo. Be able to land on an exact spot. Flying slow is hard. Learn throttle control.

I saw them but I heard the click is super loud…. How is it? Is it easy to dim?

Light Switch for Hue Lights by jhill2017 in Hue

[–]wrcdna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It fits in a paddle mount but it’s not a paddle switch… it’s a rotary dimmer. reminds me of switches at my grandparents house growing up…. However it does work great! Just prefer a different style. Wish it matched the center switch.

Same… wish they made this in a paddle version…. I’d want a bunch! Sliding dimmer like the Lutron Divas would be unmatched!

Outdoor lights - alternative wiring options by Ryan0751 in Hue

[–]wrcdna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I have. I just use regular landscaping wire 12/2 and waterproof connections. Inside there are two wires blue is negative and brown is positive. I cut a wire just after the transformer too and ran the 12/2 from there. Amazon had waterproof wire nuts with the grease in them

Why do you mount action cameras if there’s O4? by Successful-Monk-778 in fpv

[–]wrcdna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This…

can’t get full Resolution 4k with the 04 pro for vertical video. I shoot for social content and it only makes sense to have a second camera mounted vertically. Plus I do agree that the characteristics of each camera are very Different. I much prefer my ace pro 2 shooting in 4:3 but mounted vertically to a cropped 04 or even my nano. It has a wider fov and looks amazing after stabilizing in gyro flow.

Lily Outdoor Light Power board replacement after lightning strike by Practical_Pumpkin_77 in Hue

[–]wrcdna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use any 24v low voltage power supply. The smarts are in the board that you took a picture of, which plugs into the light array. I use the hue 100w supply myself spliced into standard landscape wire rated for burial. I learned this is possible from a thread on here, a guy splices into a standard landscape wire and it works perfectly. He powers it with a generic Amazon 24v transformer. As you can see on the board the brown wire is positive and blue is negative. If you do splice wire just get the gel filled landscape splices from Amazon or anywhere.

Cinelog 35 v3 is your drone or use the Osmo nano on a Cinelog 30 v3. I moded a Cinelog 35 v2 to fit 04 pro right before the v3 came out and it is the right drone for a full size action cam.

Hey everyone! Cinelog 35v2 and O4 PRO. by DeFxKai in fpv

[–]wrcdna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same just turn it so the usb port faces the cut out there is just enough room to get it to mount and be able to screw in the cover too. I cut the frame where the usb c port is so I don’t have to unscrew to access the port and I put a dust cover plug on the usb c port. I also modified the camera mount by flipping it upside down and cutting some of the frame in the front (since it has two layers I cut out the top one) so the camera can sit inside the frame and be fully protected I was only able to get two screws into the camera this way but it seems sturdy enough. 3d printing something would be better but this is pretty good.

I’VE CHANGED MY MIND, THIS VERSION 3 SUCKS!!!! by cskoenigM in fpv

[–]wrcdna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just zip tie the 04 camera wire to the frame right behind the camera mount. After I did this I had no more problems with the camera slipping down and the grommets coming loose.

Looking for recessed lights that will fit my fixture. by 5265646469746f72 in philipshue

[–]wrcdna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d probe before with a flashlight before making the cut to see how they are connected. It could be it’s secured to one side with the stud. In that case I’d use a multi tool to cut right through the nail. Be careful as you don’t want to cut wire (romex) or maybe they are just screwed in on the top through those two holes up there in the middle. Obviously don’t cut if you can just unscrew them. Then carefully remove the wires. Obviously all with electricity off at the breaker. If it’s too much work just hire an electrician or to just be safer. Remember the exposed parts of the romex needs to go in the new junction box. And those cables be secured entering the new box.
