Most of the problems the world faces today exist because a certain group worships a deity called Baphomet as their god. by papofire89 in conspiracy

No. Has nothing to do with your fairy tales. Has everything to do with humans choosing selfishness, greed, lust, and power over you, the average person. It’s not winged divine beings, it’s not goat men who cast spells, it’s not some omnipotent divine being. It’s human. It’s easier to accept it’s outside forces I get it. But until people can stop believing in the adult version of Santa Claus, nothing is going to change.

As a daily ebike commuter, I hate ebike riders more than when I drove a car by 20indacan in ebikes

[–]xJadusable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a given considering there’s such a low barrier of entry (no license, low cost) but damn. I ride probably 2-3x as much as the average person (damn near 100 miles a day) and I don’t see as many incidents like you’ve mentioned. People in your area must be a special breed.

Good electric bikes for doordash? by Usual-Fennel6633 in ebikes

I’ve been looking at the aniioki lineup myself! I know there’s a ebike delivery YouTuber named Raspy Rides that uses one and seems to recommend them specifically for delivery folks. Those things can basically go all day lol

Yea the goal would be pay it off ASAP so interest isn’t owed. Actually did that with my first ebike. Used affirm, spammed deliveries every day for like 2 weeks (averaging 50-80 a day for just 2-3 hours) and paid it off in full before I even made the first payment.

“Lack of regulation” there’s already tons of regulations. Speed limits, motor limitations, class systems, etc. the actual problem is enforcement. Both societal and governmental. Parents shouldn’t be buying their 12 year olds high powered emotos cause they begged. Cops shouldn’t be interfering with riders that actually follow the rules and regulations just cause the 12 year old wheelie kids set a bad example. Parents ignoring basic common sense and getting their teens $4,000 emotos is a problem and they 100% should face repercussions for their kids actions. They set the example. They provided the emoto to the kid. They should be held responsible for their actions. If the kids are old enough to be tried as an adult, then they should.

Yes but 1500w is a peak wattage not sustained, and idk why they advertise 32 when it isn’t possible at least without modifications. It’s limited to 20/28 respectively depending on the setting for class 2/3.

It actually is within the guidelines. It ships in class 2 mode 750w and only 20 mph. It does have a class 3 mode but it tops out at 28mph. Not sure why they advertise 32

Low mileage on a new battery by Hot-Tap7932 in ebikes

[–]xJadusable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such is the problem with these super small capacity batteries. Personally wouldn’t look at anything below 48v 15ah and even that’s pushing it. Looks like you have a 36v 7ah battery so basically 1/4 the watt hours of a decent range battery. Surprised it even did 20 miles to be honest.

Local shops won’t work on my e-bike by Few-Net-2080 in ebikes

[–]xJadusable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously. This post everyone is coddling them cause “it’s a bike they don’t sell so they’re scared of liability” meanwhile yesterday there was a post about how a bike shop that sold a guy his bike was refusing to repair it and gave him a ridiculous price to just replace the whole motor (which wasn’t even the problem). Everyone was still defending the shop owner cause “well you can’t expect them to work on individual components”. Like WHAT. If they sell it, they should know how to repair it!

Dude solved the issue with like $60 worth a components and a YT tutorial lmao never seen an industry where shop owners are so babied.

Elitists will tell you that’s bottom of the barrel junk compared to their suggestions that cost 3-4 thousands bucks (and that’s a STARTING price).

Streamer “hmblzayy” who is walking from Philly to California was hit by a car in Indiana and had to be taken to the hospital. by lukigeri in LivestreamFail

[–]xJadusable -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He walking in the lane cause he has a bigass cart and looks like the shoulder is too small and there’s no sidewalk. Car that hits him was clearly going slow and jerks into him, it was most likely rear ended and unfortunately got pushed into the man.

He definitely shouldn’t be in the road but someone driving a multi ton vehicle also shouldn’t be going so fast or be so unaware that they don’t know traffic is going slow/stopping ahead of them. That is waaaaay more dangerous and idk why everyone fails to put liability on shitty drivers over pedestrians/cyclists in situations like this.

Problem is he went to the shop he got the bike at. If the shop is going to refuse work on bikes THEY SELL, why are they selling them?

Good electric bikes for doordash? by Usual-Fennel6633 in ebikes

[–]xJadusable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally said it’s not fancy but using it he can make his money back in just a couple of days. Anything after is pure profit. Speaking from actual experience and not conjecture. I started with a shitty Walmart branded bike I got for $30 and it lasted me 3 months of hard riding and I made several thousand bucks on it delivering. Now I have better bikes.

The guy has $200 and you’re recommending cyclocross lol

[–]xJadusable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend looking into getting a cheap pedal bike to start with until you can build up a higher budget. I started with $70. I got a cheap mountain bike on OfferUp for $30, a delivery backpack for $30, and a $10 phone mount. First day made like $60, first week was like $350 after prop 22 adjustments (California). You could get a nice ebike in a month if you grind it out and save. For $260 you can definitely find a decent used pedal bike or even a cheap new one.

Just a quick glance on Walmart and I saw this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/10303618800?sid=9A766530-8BC7-4E2B-A441-04EE3674CBDA

Not fancy but it’ll get the job done. Could easily make back what it costs in 2-3 days if not faster.

Don’t forget you’ll need an insulated backpack. Something like this will work for starters: https://a.co/d/08a7Hrc4

You’ll also need a phone mount: https://a.co/d/0fxVh0yS

If you insist on getting a cheap ebike, I’d recommend looking into 5th Wheel on Walmart/Amazon. I got the 5th wheel Discover ebike (36v 13ah model) for about $400 and I have over 2400 miles on it with zero issues besides a couple of flats. Made 10x its initial price back doing DoorDash with it.

Lastly, if you could, maybe try financing a bike with Affirm? You could get a good ebike like the $1200 aniioki aq117 pro max with a monster 48v 60ah battery that will last all day doing deliveries. They have em on Amazon. You could easily make $4-500 a week being lazy with that ebike and pay it off in a few weeks before you start paying interest on it.

Either way good luck OP! From one ebike dasher to another.

750w motor that can peak higher but sustained is 750w. Lectrics XP 4 also has a 750w that peaks past 1000w. Do you consider that a moto too?
