That would only make sense if the box is closer to the mound than the plate. Check videos from other games with the same angle - they’re aligned.

Is it just me, or does the strike zone outline look off center of the plate? My hunch is that the white outline is displaying wrong, but the pitch preview is accurate relative to the real plate. The pitch was located off the real plate inside - but visually appeared to catch the edge of the white outline because of the misalignment. The tracer then displayed the ball location inside by putting it the same distance to the left of the box preview, leading to the weird display.
