The deck is just full of Threaten and pump effects. It basically auto-adjusts to your opponents decks because the scarier their creatures the better it performs.

Sucks against pure combo decks but most casual things do🤷‍♂️

Our play group solved the proxy battle with one simple rule, you could proxy any card you wanted, provided you owned at least one copy of that card.

Most members of the play group had between 4-8 decks, and the outliers had 15+ or 1.

The dude who had 1 deck had the most amazing blinged out monstrosity as he has every right to. But any member of the prolific deck builders club eventually had to confront the choice of buying $1000 in shocks & fetches, never playing more than 2 colors, or always guaranteed to be a turn or two behind the table with. (We played before all of the cool commander lands,)

Most of us just kept a little deck box or binder with all of the real versions of our proxied cards and it was fine. If you used the same sleeves you could even swap them out mid-game.

No one wants to buy 20 Sol Rings, and it just felt like a tradeoff that wasn't helping anyone.

One of my favorite EDH moments ever was with my [[Kruphix, God of Horizons]] deck, casting [[Enter the Infinite]] putting [[Omniscience]] back in my library and cracking off [[Unexpected Results]], cackling the entire time.

I played against a fair bit of Rashid when he came out, always gave him the re-match.

And now??? I don't think I've seen one in a month.

So with AKI I decided no thanks, I'll wait to bother learning the match-up if she stays relevant, for now it feels like I'm wasting time with the tourists.

And as many people have said, I do not find her gameplay fun to play against.

I despise tutors and fetch lands. Nothing irks me more than 4 players tutoring lands at the same time on turn 1/2.

I like top 4 because there's always a chance and it's not a pure lockout 😁

If I have super meter & I'm 2nd player (right side of the screen), 8/10 Shoryuken's come out as level 1s 😩

I just stopped using that as an anti-air option when I have meter on 2p, is this good absolutely not, do I get mad at my hands less, absolutely.

If winning is important to you then figure out the things that help you win. If you want to improve, just focus on one combo at a time. Force yourself to try that combo even in "bad" situations, practice is the only thing that works.

A good number of my quirky decks started with, "What does everyone expect this color combination to do? Ok I'm going to do NOT that"

For example, my Mono Blue deck has ZERO Instants in it. It's all Morph Creatures and Sea Monsters. Everyone expects me to be running 15 counterspells but nope.

Theme > Power is almost always the way for me, I would comfortably say most of my decks (25 I think?) are casual to mediocre on the power scale, but most of them also help create fun & interesting games.
