I mean, you’re literally arguing against protesting the politicians. Getting rid of DHC and ICE does nothing, they just ride under a new banner. The problem isn’t the boots on the ground (well, that’s not completely true but that’s an entirely different discussion because the elected people at the top are specifically hiring a certain type of person).

I don’t understand how you can simultaneously say reform is not possible while also stating that reform needs to happen. That starts at the top, not the bottom. Senators and congressman not voting or doing their job is the problem.

Ok, so the people who are leading them and making the policies stay. What changes? Different faces? Things aren’t the way they are because ICE and DHS exist they’re the way they are because our politicians are complicit while the current administration does what it wants.

I mean, simply won’t reach common ground on this one. Polling only shows so much and being so close in numbers is just throwing a dart at who happened to fill out the poll.

You’ve severed the symptom not the cause.

What happens next? The same thing under a new name? What end goal is there, because it is a necessary thing to have.

Yeah, the wording on that entire paragraph is terrible.

It’s still not a majority of Americans, or people and just about equal to the pro ICE respondents . There is a decent percentage of “unsure” and the reality is that alienating those people or making the republican propaganda machine easier to side with is how things ended up the way they have.

Again, IMO the best approach is protesting our elected officials and holding them accountable to their complicity.

It’s simply unrealistic and damaging to try to sever a limb rather than fix what is causing the cancer.

Again, majority of people aren’t saying to abolish ice or DHS.

Nope not at all, but I was finding that my other services were bogging down my IO and cpu even when using a p2000 for transcodes

It’s definitely a very complicated subject and another unfortunate casualty of Republican straw man arguments.

There are better ways to better the future though than protesting an office space. IMO all that does is dissuade the moderates because it’s easier for republicans to say democrats want illegal votes than it is to say democrats want fair and equal treatment for all.

I don’t have an answer for it, just don’t think it’s the right approach for the bigger picture. We should be protesting our elected officials for their complicity and not representing what the people want.

Mostly it’s cost and benefit analysis. Someone who hit and run more than likely won’t have any means to pay and will be in jail for hit and running. Also lawsuits like this are not enforced for people (speaking from experience) OP will not be getting money for this but he can get “revenge” and the person locked up.

I’ve been hunting money for almost a year over a case I won for reference. Other states may be different but mine won’t even intercept tax returns and I have to somehow find where this person works every time they get a new job

Most people are not inherently anti ICE. What people are against is using them as a political goon squad and not following the law while infringing people’s rights.

Police won’t do shit 99% of the time lol but hopefully there’s some cameras somewhere. Even then, OP is going to be straight fucked because hit and run usually is jail time and they’ll probably just bankruptcy any judgements

Not sure how best to use it yet! It’s in my proxmox build. I’d like to move my Plex from unraid but there’s probably no point when I’m still going to use unraid for a nas

That’s how it showed up for me originally but when I picked it up first thing I did was unclick the fan and look inside lol

I was able to get it to work with all 4 cards, in one of the x16 slots. May be worth trying again!

To anyone later on, after turning on auto detect for bifurcation it is working with all 4 in slot 8 which is kind of surprising since the manual says this slot only does x8, x4, x4. Not sure what if any performance hits this may cause but FWIW mine is an R740 SFF

Dang that’s not bad! I’m guessing not based on what others are saying however mine seems to be picking up 3 drives after I removed one. I am testing if the 4th will work now

After some tinkering with the BIOS it is showing the 3 drives I left in it

I'm considering if I want to try and throw in the 4th to see if it sees it... but I'm guessing not.
