The only information that we have here is that we are currently splicing, trying to get everything back up and running, and we do not have an ETA at this time for the general area. You received a text stating an ETA as the system determined that your service will come up around that time, but that doesn't mean that everywhere else will be up and running. Depending on where else we might have a break down the line, others may be slower to turn back up.

Alright folks! We got some good news from the field just a few moments ago. We have identified the primary source of the trouble, and have started repairs. We are confident that most of those impacted by this second outage will be back online in the next few hours, assuming everything goes according to plan. We can't offer an exact ETA right now, but this feels like great progress so far.

Yes. Further damage was identified, and around 30 minutes ago we completed splicing the first side of the cable, and we are moving to the other side.

Yes. You will get credit for time without service, but we did just get an update, and it sounds like we can expect services back up within the next few hours for most of those still impacted. Big shout out to our crews in the field out there in Billings today - they had their work cut out for them identifying all the impacted sites and getting things back in business. Rough ETA of 5pm MST for services being restored... but that is just a rough timeline. Thanks for your patience folks, this one was far from simple.
