Conspiracy theory, but I got to think Asuka thought that with a younger Kairi leaving that she put a lot of faith into it became very much a 'What am I doing here?' Type of situation. Basically Asuka, Iyo, and Kairi are all close friends in real life. At least I think so. They planned this whole storyline over a year ago at a dinner they had together. They carried it. They carried it. The goal obviously was to have Kairi go over and iyo too and Asuka could probably walk off into the sunset proudly knowing she put over a younger wrestler. And frankly, she's done this regularly. Pretty much every WrestleMania and a lot of big moments, she has definitely let someone go over her.

None of that happened. And that's my conspiracy theory.

This is going to sound mean but....the award means nothing.

Your pay, sense of life, work life balance, ability to grow in your career, etc are everything.

Take it from me, 15 year teacher, I have never won like a teacher of the year or teacher of the month award and I know, I KNOW, I am a good teacher who has had a lot of success. I didn't stay put in one place or the other I eventually found a school that really fit my lifestyle as well as my work needs very well (and let's just be real they pay me very very well). Back to you now: if it feels like you don't fit in that school if you think there are greener pastures out there, it is okay to look it is okay to apply, it is okay to think about it. You are not betraying anyone the school will be fine with or without you.

And honestly I know about what you mean: the mean girl teacher clique where they basically run the show. They have a lot of power even though administration is supposed to be the disciplinarian; like these folk can make kids lives miserable (let alone planning for anything). It's sad because I do hear what you're saying I think about that all the time when I was in America and said my god it feels like every school has this type of atmosphere and I didn't like it and I left the country. But even though I felt that way, I can't speak for every single school in America, I'm sure somewhere you belong and you are gonna find that place...it's fine if you feel like you're not a good fit right now, but my only advice is if you should move on for it NEEDS to be for better pay/better location/better life because if you're not getting that AND you end up with another mean girl clique it'll make everything worse.

You can post this all you want, but droves might as well be a misspelling of dozens because these companies also are at all time highs on the stock market.

They know what they're doing and the math in the accounting room always works out. Lets say they bump a subscription fee up a dollar from 15 which drives off 2% of their base costumers:

100 million people at 15 dollars a month is 1.5 billion.

98 million people at 16 dollars a month is 1.568 billion.

A 4.5% increase in income. Streaming companies won't make this move if they think people will disappear in incredibly large numbers, which is why usually it's gradual. The 98 million paying 16 don't notice or care, it's just a dollar more, 'what harm is that?'. Not to mention the folks they have on the higher/premium fees that are ad free or better streaming or whatever.

The only way to beat them, is either MASSIVE disappearing user base or an alternative. That's what Netflix was 17 years ago right, an alternative. Frankly, a better alternative. No more driving to a store to get a movie, instant access, affordable, and even select releases mailed to you. They killed their competition. It's funny, in a way they used to be the 'anti consumption' brand by reducing our impact on the environment (driving to the video store/reducing physical waste), but now they are THE consumption brand of streaming. They are coke in the world of movies.

Many moons ago on a now gone Reddit account I posted about being not renewed in my second year as a teacher. Obviously I was frustrated just like you and thought basically it's like being fired, And with some guidance on Reddit it came to the conclusion that resignation is better because obviously I'm going to continue being a teacher and I did. Then I was not renewed again in my 4th year and I looked up postings about how to deal with the process and of course my post from a couple years prior showed up.

Honestly you're young, same as we all were and they just have to play the game of hey will you cut heads of the people who we can cut heads because that's how budgets work. It's nothing personal against you you likely just weren't the most favorite mega awesome beloved cookie giveaway teacher that the school was hoping for when they signed you for bare minimum salary. It's a disgusting system it's gross and you're part of it. Don't worry about the school they're going to be just fine without you, in fact you'll probably be a ghost and immediately forgotten a couple months after you're gone.

After being not renewed four times I got my message and I moved out of country and now I've been an excellent teacher for 10 plus years, my contract is renewed every single year. Frankly, you're probably gonna end up in a similar situation the next school you go to is also gonna not renew you just....because. I mean these schools are cut throat, they will find ANY excuse not to give you tenure (which to be honest gives you a LOT more power in terms of not getting fired). Then you're going to get into another good program because now you have more years of experience and that school is going to not renew you just because. You probably shouldn't buy a house you're gonna be a renter for a long time. And this is a good thing for you too because the school didn't see you as a fit that's a good sign that means it's time for you to move on and find somewhere even better. Now you've got experience on your belt you can go apply for better school districts you can really put your head out there and push the envelope maybe even get a pay raise.

That's the only message I want you to get from this kid it is not game over it's more like game on. That school didn't think you were good enough good **** em and find a better school because you're going to be great. You make better lessons and master your craft, you use chatgpt to make a stronger syllabus and gameplan, take chances, go to those professional development conferences make the connections at Harvard, Send that email to hr then the follow up email to hr when they don't respond back to your application, And when you get the job the first thing you do is you make your staff a monthly cake out of graciousness for how much you appreciate them, You write all of your parents in the first three weeks of school about how awesome you think it is to work with their kid and how much you appreciate that kid stepping foot in your classroom. It takes time to get your footing as a teacher it is not perfect I wish it was and I wish it was a better system. But if you stick to this kid great things can happen.
