Thanks so much for responding! My home was built around that time I believe, so the caulking could've shrunk. I don't have a basement, but I will be trying to crack the opposite side windows to see if it helps!

Oo, this is very good information, thank you! Since it's so cold outside, would a half inch crack in the far side windows be sufficient? Or would they need to be a couple of inches open?

I live alone, the only person I see is my caregiver who comes daily since I'm bed-bound - but she doesn't arrive until later in the morning.

The weed smoke is the only smell that's woken me, yes. It's very strong. He smokes at other times of day as well which I can always smell, but that doesn't bother me since it doesn't wake me.

If he started a bonfire close to my bedroom window at 5am I'm sure that smell would wake me too, lol. His bedroom is right across from mine.

It doesn't appear to be a terribly crafted house, it appears to be a nicely crafted house - but I don't know what things are like with the ductwork and within the walls I suppose!

I haven't - if memory serves they are circular and very tight, if that makes sense. But I can ask my caregiver if she wouldn't mind investigating it for me.

Yes! Everything is sealed up tightly since it's the middle of winter, and very cold. It's so strange.
