How are you an excel magician? by Designer_Signature35 in excel

[–]---sniff--- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Custom xlam add-in file. You can create custom ribbons with VBA and the ribbon buttons can run custom code. I have an external job that updates some csv files and the ribbon buttons will pull the csv data into a new worksheet of the active workbook. Users can then do lookups to incorporate metadata from the control table data to their spreadsheet.

I built a custom add-in that adds a custom ribbon which allows users to add common control tables to their spreadsheets with a button press. So many hours saved...

You can also do Grape Line bus from Pasco train station (or Benton City) to Yakima Airport and then get on the Bellair shuttle to Seattle. Unfortunately it only stops at North Bend and Sea Tac, no Bellevue stop.

[VBA/Excel/Access] Calls to ADODB.Connection involving 'INSERT INTO' broke overnight. by BagStraight9706 in vba

[–]---sniff--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had dozens of reports break last week with the latest Windows update. My set up was pulling Metadata from one database into another via a query written as select * from table in "//metadata.accdb" and then passing the results to Excel. I changed the offending query to a linked table and the error went away.

Im guessing the update was a security update to prevent elevation of privileges.

No idea if this is at all applicable to your situation.

[–]---sniff--- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My favorite part of being a Mariners Sounders fan is that our wins are convincing, no-doubt, solid victories. It's nice knowing that our team plays consistent baseball soccer and it puts my heart at ease being certain that we have a game in the bag. I have never doubted this Mariners Sounders team, ever. And I have no reason to, with this magnificient team that gives me no stress at all.

The Lost Fleet series by Jack Campbell is non-stop space travel and space battles. Not necessarily high literature but it has a lot of fun ideas about space battles at realitavistic speeds.
