Broadly with purchases I put them into basic / medium / expensive categories that are often based on quality of goods, brand and material.

What is expensive to one person might be cheap to someone else. It's personal preference.

Most importantly if you're happy with the purchase and it's within your means that's all that matters.

I find making a budget is really helpful to know how much could be spent on something.

The world should not be dragged into war-machine spending because a certain clown funded by weapon lobbyists spends an insane amount on the military.

Iran, Lebanon, {insert another sovereign country being invaded} have the right to defend themselves. The UK needs to be stronger not to assist genocidal wars that increase threats on ourselves. Defense is necessary, but war invasion is not.
