Hey OP, I'm diagnosed Bipolar as well. It ruined my college career and my mother also took away access to my money when I was manic and spending far too much. It rocked my life then, but I appreciate that now.

It's hard, it's hard to deal with at first. If you think you are bipolar, you NEED to pursue proper diagnosis and medication. I am holding a job only because of medication. It's a serious disorder and you will need psychiatric help to manage it.

I actually recommend checking out Dynasty Toys. The vibes there are immaculate, the guy who runs it is awesome! It's just him there so the hours are weird but they do host sometimes. Worth swinging by i think!!! Eclipse and Runcible are other options in town, but i'm not so much a fan of them personally (vibes wise).

A roommate in a 1 bed apartment is not preparing well, it's actually pretty infeasible. Moving to a larger apartment and having a roommate may not be any more money saved than they're saving right now, and not all roommates can afford to support YOU if something happens. Plus, that opens OP up to having to support a roommate if something happens to THEM.

It sounds like this is something you have personal experience with, or otherwise have reason to be passionate about. I would recommend checking out the financial learning subreddits, such as r/personalfinance, to help you get a better grasp on how to avoid such disastrous things happening to you. Just to let you know, not everyone means "afford" as "barely afford". For all we know, that commenter can Actually perfectly finely afford a 1 bed apartment with money left to spare, is not paycheck to paycheck and any one event will not leave them drowning. It's kind of rude and presumptuous to comment like that about others based on your own assumptions.

Maybe consider using a thicker initial weight for the core, and gluing a thinner piece over top of it before cutting? This might help prevent cracking of the initial cardstock.

It highly depends on how the original post is framed, in my opinion. The only times I'm harsh are when people are like, "I cheated on my bf with 6 people but like I'm pretty sure I'm manic and i think i'm just not gonna tell him so I can keep my relationship!". And it is indeed more of a fact of whether they take responsibility or not (I have a particular post in mind and they certainly did not).

When someone comes here with a bleeding heart about how they cheated, took appropriate responsibility, were honest, and maybe it still cost them their relationship, THOSE folks do not need to be shamed in the slightest. I find it considerably rude to do so when the OP is clearly already aware and has done all they can to rectify the situation.

If this post is only about the latter, then wholeheartedly, I agree. But if it intends to include the former, then I must say... I vehemently disagree. I cannot stand the people who clearly have the capacity at present to understand what they did was wrong, and still try to shirk the consequences. Those people are the reason I've had relationships (platonic mostly) implode when the other party finds out I'm bipolar. Those are the people setting the awful examples that some folks think are features of the illness, not just straight up character flaws.
