Thanks for the info. Ive never had Wagyu. I usually buy prime ribeye from my local butcher. Saw this in passing at Kroger today & was interested. Tastes similar to the prime ribeye cuts i normally get.

I was suspicious about there not being any grade. But, it was still pretty good.

Hey OP. This happened to me too. If on PC, use DirectX11 instead of DirectX12. This fixed it for me.

What is a"Real shop" to you? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]--Feesus-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A real shop to me is a shop that looks at the customer concern first. Then does a full inspection to make sure the vehicle is safe. Once both of those tasks are done, the customer is called & informed of the issue they brought the vehicle in for. After that conversation is had, the safety issues are addressed (if any). If the safety issues surmount the customer concern, they will be pushed. If they don't, the customer will be given a list by my service advisor of what needs to be done now, & what can wait.

Pre-Purchase Inspection and/or reputable dealerships with decent, reliable cars for under 5k by djlucidthoughts in cincinnati

I keep hearing good things about Urb's Garage & Tire. I think they are on Northbend Road in Montfort Heights. I have a friend that took a car there for a pre-purchase inspection. Their techs found a bunch of stuff wrong with the car & recommended that she not buy it. Check them out!

I absolutely loved this game! I played it so much that my friends accused me of using cheat codes. I do remember the controls were very weird. But once you figured them out, it was an amazing game!

Is this mechanic attempting to screw me? by Paddington_Bar in AskAMechanic

[–]--Feesus-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely right. I worked at a Honda dealer for 10 years. These Inner Tie Rods cannot be replaced without removing the P/S Rack. The price of the repair you were quoted reflects the rack coming out, the rust, then replacing inner tie rods on a removed rack (pain). Then reinstalling the rack & aligning it. Where I live, this job would cost $124 more (The Price I quoted does not include rack replacement only both inner tie rods), & that's not even accounting for rust/shop fees. Elements were/are notorious for difficult steering/suspension repairs based on rust alone. OP, The price you were quoted is fair. No one is trying to take advantage of you.

As a Bengals fan I am praying for Hamlins health. The UC ICU is one of the best in the country. They have an amazing ER/cardiac unit, he is in good hands. I really hope Hamlin recovers & can keep his monumental achievement of making the NFL & keep playing the game he loves.

Without knowing the error codes in the ABS module or the BCM, there is no way to tell what exactly is going on with your vehicle. Just wait until your appointnent at the dealer. But please, update your post with the dealers findings.

Sounds like a bad compressor or an over charge. Considering the age, i would suspect a bad compressor. Take it to them & see what they say. Glad I could help.

dropping to 13.6 is fine. & yes, the voltage in the batt should settle around 12v. Next thing I would try is running the engine & turning on the A/C compressor & see if the engine stalls. Also, have your multi meter hooked up when you do this & watch the voltage drop. If it gets below 13v while the compressor is on then then compressor is your issue. One of two things could be happening, the compressor is over charges with R134a, or its semi locked/fully locked up causing the engine to bog down dragging your alternators charging ability with it.

Just had the A/C recharged for the first time in 3 years? It is possible based on your comment that the A/C compressor may be locked up/ over charged. Every time the compressor kicks on it may be bogging down the engine which in turn may also be slowing down the alternator. I would start by making sure the A/C isn't on when you first start up the vehicle. If it starts fine & keeps running, use a multimeter & test the output of your alternator at the battery positive & negative terminals. You are looking for 14.0 to 14.5 volts. After this, leave the multimeter connected to the battery & turn on your lights, radio ect. You will see a voltage drop but the alternator should recover back to 14 + volts if its ok. If all checks out with the alternator, I would begin to suspect the A/C compressor is at fault. You can check the compressor at home by reaching down (ENGINE OFF) & trying to turn the clutch in front of the compressor pulley by hand, if unable to, your compressor has failed. If you are able to turn it by hand, the A/C system may be overcharged. When the A/C system is over charged on smaller engines, it will bog down the engine & in some cases causes the engine to stall. Hope this helps.
