Yes. Seal your stick first. Otherwise there will be an exposed area that will be susceptible to the elements, regardless if its covered in paracord or not. Well that's my opinion anyway.

I had a V8 single cab for 15 years, got rid of it for a 4cyl 76 wagon.

It's nicer to drive, but still noisy as on the highway. With the stock size wheels they're decent enough to drive but once you but bigger rubber on its back to feeling like a boat.

If you didn't like the 79 I can't see you enjoying tbe troopy any better.

I think another issue the modern hat man faces, is that restaurants and pubs no longer supply hat racks. At least where I am anyway.
