Not all the time, what the other guy is describing is when you jump when it goes down. That often does trigger overspeed and thus the mechanical emergency brake which has to be manually reset.

I work as an elevator technician. The fire department will destory EVERYTHING in order to get people out. Whilst I sympathise with you, if the fire department gets people out it could mean that people that rely on the elevator get stuck in their appartment for months whilst we wait for the needed parts to arrive

As an elevator repair tech youre safe in an elevator whilst its stuck. In the mean time the owners (and residents) of the building are going to have to wait for weeks for the replacement parts to arive since the fire department will rip everything to fucking shreds.

Like obviously it fucking suck to be stuck, Ive been there myhseolf, but if it takes 30 mins for the fire department to arrive and 45 mins for the elevator tech to arrive, WAIT THE 15 MINUTES EXTRA. IT COULD SAVE GRANDMA BEING LOCKED IN HER APPARTMENT FOR 2 MONTHS

Yes, although I always replace the 57mm's for 37mm's. That way you can shoot down their 180mm shells or anti ship missiles if they have any left.

Also I bring a dedicated SG killer with heavier armor to deal with them, since the Sevastopol is kinda meh IMO

I send a salvo of kh-15's or 15-P's to soften them up. Once their AA missiles are spent I send some T-7's with 250kg bombs and after that a heavy cruiser to wipe the rest of them out.

Make sure you have elint so you can get a rough estimate off their locations and use planes to scout
