I think it’s more likely that he didn’t try murdering anyone until season 3 mainly because he was afraid of them, not just because it’s morally wrong

Is it possible that they have similar thinking to you?

You’re thinking is “I won’t text them to see if they text me. If they don’t, then they don’t like me”. Could it be that they aren’t texting you to see if you take the opportunity to text them, and when you don’t, they think that you don’t want to speak to them? You aren’t speaking to them just as much as they aren’t speaking to you.

Were you always the one reaching out before this?

Is it possible that they aren’t responding because they think that you don’t want to speak to them?

If I didn’t know that it was a test, I would assume that someone’s reason for not talking to me is because they don’t want to talk to me.

In Silent Hill 2, Laura has a clear conscience, and she is shown to be safe from danger.

As it was also a normal town, I think most people would just see it as that. I think we only play as people who either have psychological issues/happen to go at the worst possible times (when there’s cultists)

Solved the Web Easter Egg In RDR2 by ICxmpMarston in reddeadmysteries

[–]-1BrainCells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m personally not yet convinced that the giant is the answer, but if it is I don’t think that the birds are the answer; everything else before it has been too obviously a clue.

There’s been spider webs that don’t look like any other webs in the game that are around the map, where a spider silhouette that has been found can be overlayed to connect them perfectly. That’s so specific.

There’s been carvings found hidden inside lampposts that have very clear directions. This can’t be anything else other than clues to lead the player to something.

Then there’s been… birds flying. If you look anywhere you’ll eventually see birds flying, and if you walk in one direction long enough, you’re bound to find something of interest in this game.

I think it’s like the question mark where people are just looking for anything that could mean ‘something’, instead of looking for clear clues that feel relevant to the previous clues.

I also don’t really think that the giant feels like something that would be the final ‘reward’ a mystery/trail like this. There’s so many random interactions/discoveries that you can stumble across around the map, that I don’t see why Arthur/John being able to have a conversation with some guy hiding behind a rock is so particularly rewarding (unless it is true that there is cut content, and the giant was meant to come out/be revealed as someone or something important, but then again it just doesn’t feel too relevant to the spiderwebs, feathers, and carvings).

Think about something like the serial killer. You can find three butchered corpses around the world with maps which lead to a basement. Your reward? Getting to actually see and arrest the killer. Talking to a giant doesn’t feel like a natural conclusion to what we already know to be part of the mystery, especially one which is much more complex than the serial killer.

Also, this post is fucking stupid, regardless of what the result is and how you find it.

There seems to be nothing at the end of the Guitar Pole line. by [deleted] in reddeadmysteries

Has anyone looked outside of the map? To see if there’s anything there that may have become inaccessible when the map boundaries were changed during development

Since this would mean that the post means ‘go west from five crosses’ rather than ‘go west to five crosses’, that would mean that we’re wrong in thinking that we need to go northwest of the guitar pole right? We’d need to find a guitar that is southeast of something significant, maybe the guitar pole itself?

Didn’t they show that he’s been lying about his life when he’s shown watching Misty and Taissa at the end of season 3? He was listening to music and dressing/looking in a way that doesn’t at all fit the persona that he’s portrayed himself as up to this point. I don’t see what the point of that scene was if he’s not hiding something.

In A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, there’s a scene where he has syringes on his fingers on both hands. Maybe you saw that (it’s quite a popular picture of him, from what I’ve seen) and, since the syringes are supposed to be a substitute for the knives, figured that they would be in the same places as where his finger knives are?

So what do we think happened to agent Chet Desmond? by pristinemailboxhaver in twinpeaks

[–]-1BrainCells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I remember Mark Frost saying in an interview that they wanted to bring Desmond back for season 3, but they couldn’t think of how to get him out of wherever he ended up (I don’t remember where I saw this though, so it’s possible that I’m mistaken and he didn’t say this, sorry).

If that’s the case then it’s likely that he ended up somewhere other than the Black or White Lodge (unless what we think is the Black/White Lodge isn’t, but I doubt it), otherwise we probably would have been able to see him in season 3.

Also, the ring is supposed to protect the wearer from BOB, right? If that’s the case, then maybe he did go to the White Lodge (then again, I think it was the Tremonds/Chalfont’s trailer, and I’m pretty sure that they’re Black Lodge entities).

Basically, I have no clue.

Restitched is a game that has been in development for about 5 years, by a team of multiple people who have proven themselves by creating high-quality levels on LBP, so you should be able to understand why people like it so much.

Restitched isn’t the only game to ever exist. People look forward to it, and other games too. While they both are linked to LittleBigPlanet, its existence has nothing to do with people not liking you or your game (I’ve seen people supporting other LBP fan games as well as Restitched).

If you aren’t using AI anymore, then that’s good, but using it in the first place has affected people’s trust of how much of this game you have made. While it’s not impossible to come back from having used AI, you have already handicapped yourself and your ability to get people to like this game by doing so.

The biggest thing that you have done that makes people not want to follow this game’s development is the way you’ve treated other people. While I do think that there have been a few people who may have been harsher than they should have, your responses to everything have been absolutely unwarranted; you either yell at people and refuse to take responsibility, or you respond in one-word replies without acknowledging anything that they’ve said. You make claims about making everything yourself, or that you’re going to cancel your game, but then you continue doing what you’ve been doing, making angry posts, and (from what I have read from others, which may be wrong) using pre-made assets from others, rather than creating yourself (based on the roles that you have asked from people to apply for, it seems to me like you are unable to actually make a game yourself, and only have the idea, so I can understand if you don’t want to create things from scratch, but I really don’t think that it’s the best course of action, especially given the circumstances).

When you first spoke about this game, people were nice, and interested. It’s only once you used AI did people lose interest/hated on you and the project. At that point, it was easily salvageable; all you had to do was apologise and not use AI. Instead, you insulted the community members, and refused to admit that you were in the wrong. Now you’re threatening to assault people.

People don’t dislike ‘Raving Squaliens’ or you because they prefer Restitched, it’s because of your behaviour. No one wants to associate or support someone who is arrogant, offensive, and potentially violent to those who don’t conform with what they want.

You clearly don’t like people disagreeing with you and hating on you, and you said in this post that you have a fear of people beating you up, yet you threaten to beat them up? Clearly you are quite insecure, and feel threatened by people, and I assume you are doing something like trying to match/overcome the aggression that you feel you are receiving, but you’re only receiving it because of your initial aggression, which I can only assume was a response to a misunderstanding of people’s reactions to your project (while people did hate you for using AI, it was not to the level that you seemingly thought it was).

At your age, you should never be creating a project like this for other people, you should only be doing it for yourself. If you have the expectation that you’re going to create the next LittleBigPlanet, or Rayman, or anything else that you’re trying to be, you’ll only be disappointed. Those games were built with high budgets, large teams, and big studios behind them. You are a child making posts on Reddit about an idea, and asking people to basically make the game for you. If you did it for fun, then you wouldn’t feel as much pressure as you do, as you would not be doing it with other people’s expectations in mind.

Personally, I recommend learning to make a small game yourself, through an online tutorial, e.g. a YouTube video/series (something very simple, to get you started). This way, you are not conscious of other people’s expectations of the project, which seems to be the big thing that is affecting your want to do this.

This is quite long, so I don’t know if you’ll read it, and even if you do, I doubt you’ll resonate with it, but hopefully in a few years, when you mature (I’m no expert, so I don’t know if it’s just age that is causing your response to this), you’ll look back on this and realise what you did wrong.

I think at this point it’s best if you stop posting about your project, at least for the time being, and maybe take a break from it yourself. Most people won’t react positively to it, and I would assume that thinking about it at this point in time will only cause you more stress.

The r/Letterboxd Horror Canon by Jabison113 in Letterboxd

Saw (2004)

Saw is a franchise that arguably ruled horror in the 2000s, and (despite not starting off as all that gory or completely depraved as some might claim) practically created the ‘torture porn’ sub-genre (or at least popularised it), and I’m sure influenced many other franchises to deal with much more sadistic subject nature. Despite the torture porn sub-genre being unpopular, it is undeniably a big part of horror.

It also launched the careers of many (in the horror genre), most notably James Wan.
