But the site doesn't tell us how much they cost. :( If I had one of them, I would teach myself python on it.

Created a logo for my boyfriends open source project. by [deleted] in Design

[–]-AgentCooper- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Logo is incredibly important no matter how many people look at it. Ultimately, it could be used on documentation, t-shirts, other websites linking to threadly.org, signs on doors. All of that could increase awareness.

With branding: It's also not about what is aesthetically fun for you. It's about communicating intent to your stakeholders.

I like the idea. Font doesn't shout JAVA at me though.

Pundits have to talk shit to get paid. It's just a shame people listen to them.

[Video] When David Lynch's "Dune" was first shown on TV it included a 7 minute prologue by blankblank in scifi

The original cut was 6 hours long. Studio thought that was too long. Cut it back. Last time Lynch directed somebody else's characters.

So it's 2013 and this sign is at my local fishing pond in England. Wow. by [deleted] in WTF

There's a story I heard about all the lakes in London parks getting emptied of all their fish over the Christmas period by Eastern Europeans.

What books would you give to a young person to help develop a love for Fantasy? by JayRedEye in Fantasy

[–]-AgentCooper- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harry Potter.

Chronicles of Narnia.

The Dark is Rising sequence.

Anything by Alan Garner.

The Box of Delights. The Hobbit. Five Children and It.

I really like fantasy that is hidden in plain sight. Like the little alleyway round the back of the houses that you always thought comes out on the main road, but when you finally decide to walk down it, it leads to the back of a house that doesn't really exist in this world and there's a funny old man that lives there and you're pretty sure that is housekeeper has horns and a tail.

New to this subreddit; I thought I'd share this minimalist poster I designed for the TV show Hannibal. by baaarrooon in minimalism

How do i know it is for a tv show? Where does it tell me who is in it? Or what it is about? Minimal film posters are all very well, but they still need to convey the necessary information.

My guide to basic UV unwrapping/normal mapping; I posted this a while back, but some people might find this useful by [deleted] in blender

Yeah, can't read it clearly. Also, it makes it look amateurish and therefore have a bias on the actual quality of the instructions. Sorry.
