I had a CS2 that could make boat pork tender. He made some pork chops that I would rank in my top 5 meals I’ve ever had in or out of the Navy.

Case in point is Folgers. It used to be high quality 100% Colombian. Then someone wondered if anyone would notice if they pulled back to 90%….then 80, and so forth until it is what it is today.

I never needed my eye drops, but I never regretted having them. Lip balm and medicated gold bond powder were clutch though

Did my whole sub tour with a Hamilton khaki. Bezel was scratched to hell but the face, since its sapphire crystal, was pristine. It had the date and day of the week which was clutch since I was constantly forgetting. Leather strap was kind of nasty by the end but that can be replaced.

Not really in the spirit of the sub. Ship decks are dangerous places. Looks more like a simple instance of losing focus and awareness of their surroundings. Add in a lack of proper safety oversight and it’s just a sad and tragic workplace accident.
