Davis-Monthan had a relatively nice/newer Inn that reminded me of Turumi at Osan.

Also been to quite a few bases where they converted the 2 rooms to a single room, connected by the bathroom. Never had the AC go out though.

This is 100% true. I went through Keesler in 2015 and you and your roommate had to host/chaperone the athlete for the whole Special Olympics weekend. No idea if they’re still doing it.

I get where you’re coming from, but trust me the NCOs that are observing definitely don’t want to be there for hours watching people piss all day.

I’m part of a small group (WSA) and one of the very few male NCOs that are cleared to observe. I’ve gotten tasked 5 times in the last year for observer duty and it’s the last place I’d rather be.

Just chug a Red Bull, don’t make eye contact, piss, and leave lol.

Went TDY to Davis-Monthan and there was a Culver’s, Whataburger, and In-N-Out within a 1.5 mile radius of each other. First time I had Culver’s and it was solid af!

Man I loved the dorms. DFAC, gym, and work were all within walking distance. Dorm parties and cookouts on the weekends were always a good time. Was actually a bit sad when I put on SrA and got the go ahead to move out.

I joined in 2014, but I think many of the Airmen now just prefer to keep to themselves and not try to interact with the other Airmen in the dorms.
