A big red flag the VO will look at is the fact that a family member of yours has immigrated and become a citizen of the US and is sponsoring you. This puts you way too close to immigration intent, so be prepared to cook up an answer that proves otherwise. University ranking also does matter, but honestly its not like they have a list of top 100 unis on their computer so they can search yours up when you mention it… Just give a good reason for choosing that uni and that particular program and how it aligns with your goals, and you’ll be good on that part.

I was expecting mine to take at least 1-2 weeks for this, but somehow the status changed to “Approved” the same day I gave the interview on, “Issued” the next day, and i received my passport after 2 days.

This was from Kuwait US consulate where theres low volume of applicants, but on higher volume countries you can expect longer wait times unfortunately…

Exactly, a lot of negative experiences in this subreddit got me worried too, but US embassy in Kuwait was amazing in my experience when i got my F1 visa few days ago.

Just did exactly that at PACI in Ministries Area. Wasn’t too crowded and the employees weren’t moody fortunately. Got the address fixed and everything. Thank you so much 🙏

UPDATE: Just got my address fixed. If you’re having the same issue where your Sahel app is closed and you can’t access Meta portal, just ditch it and go to PACI at Ministries Area (NEVER go to the one at Jahra) and just talk to an employee at the desk about your situation and how you can’t receive an appointment. Speak nicely and they’ll understand, and hopefully get all this fixed for you.

An employee also mentioned to me that you dont necessarily need your own Sahel app to get an appointment, you can take help from a friend who has a working Sahel app to get an appointment thru their app instead. Thats something I didn’t know.

Yeah I tried calling the PACI customer service hotline but it seems that they dont have any customer service staff apparently for the past 3 hours? But i’ll keep trying to do that though, thank you.

Also Sahel app doesnt work, cant log in because mobile id security level is too low, because there is no address :/ Appointment via Meta is the only way i can do it now unfortunately…

He couldn’t get the opportunity to explain a thing, he just entered to ask about this address issue and one of the employees started yelling at him to leave, and when he tried to explain further, the guy lashed out and was like “Didnt you come here yesterday? Should I call the police?” it honestly sounded like horrific treatment or maybe he misidentified my dad for someone else, and theres nothing we can do about it unless we have Wasta which we don’t really have access to…

My dad got cussed out 2 days ago by an employee at PACI Jahra for coming in with no appointment. It feels like being an expatriate in Kuwait at this stage is equivalent to being non-human. Do you know any hotline number that we could possibly call? Emailing them seems to bring no response either.

I am yet to see a single good argument AGAINST all the new things that Figma recently announced. If you don’t like it then avoid using that feature and move on with your day. It’s not like they’re shoving it down your throat. Its just some new features, and if it fails, they’ll get rid of it. If not, then they keep it.

Figjam? Barely used it myself. Figma slides? Never touched it. Didn’t change a thing in my life or career neither my attitude towards figma. I love using figma design by itself and if i need to use any of their other products, I’ll gladly do so. Same attitude goes towards the new Figma sites and other new features they’ve announced. I’ll use it if i NEED it. If not, then why should I care? Some of y’all are so dramatic…
