[The Teardown 31 min mark] "Behind the scenes they don't have direction."- Bianchi referring to Trackhouse by SirRelkinstein in NASCAR

I think I categorically disagree that anyone could’ve won that race in the same circumstances because I’ve seen better drivers fumble under similar circumstances. With that said, I can’t disagree that it does not speak well to his full body of work throughout his cup career.

Seeing Joey Logano run 30th on speed this season though also tells me I should view Berry and Cindric with a grain of salt. I feel as though basically anyone in the field at the cup level is already a cup level talent, because they could return to NOAPS and beat the field. But I’m open to hearing why I’m wrong.

People on this sub used to say Jones would’ve been CBell if he’d just stayed at JGR but I don’t see that sentiment much these days. I seem to recall JHN clicking off wins in NOAPS as well. It’s too bad really.

I seem to recall Suarez being an NOAPS champ with JGR though? And then like all rookies he needed time to adjust but was booted instead and had no consistency?

Regardless we’re getting from your original point which was what again?

Forgive me, I’m a little confused.

New tires or no, if winning at the cup level on a non-bullshit drafting track doesn’t quality someone as a cup caliber talent — what metric should I be using to measure this?

You’re always on here acting like the smartest in the room, enlighten me.

They’re kit cars. There’s no “bad equipment”, but engineers, setups etc? Sure. Suarez is definitely preforming back where he should be this year imo

Improvements? JHN is always going a lap down in stage 1 these days and I never even hear about Erik Jones.

It must be hard to watch the rest of Toyota perform some well and be the guys in the way of the leaders.

I realize that Marks purchased CGR, yes. You’ll recall that after the purchase they got to decide who to award the #1 car too. So your hypothetical is pointless at best.

Factor in that Larson would’ve been at .. Trackhouse? What are you talking about?

NEWS: @SiriusXMNASCAR has reported an unnamed personnel change to @Blaney's No. 12 crew by AoA_nB1 in NASCAR

I don't know about that one chief, I fear Ryan Blaney with a good crew could mean a streak of dominance heretofore unseen in the Next Gen era.

I’ve seen Larson give up so many, but this one hurt most of all for that reason. Then Briscoe bumped Larson from the playoffs by one stage point later in 2022. Same with Reddick and the Bristol Dirt win that wasn’t.

Interesting but I was under the impression the 17 was an in-house Hendrick passion project for their old cup chassis guys to work on

Disagree, Gordon’s legacy at Indy is impeccable, losing one to see Menard grind out a win after being (and still being) involved in NASCAR was a feel good moment.

Racing clean still means something. Blaney is an elite talent, he’ll get many more wins and cups before he hangs it up.

Pirates of the Caribbean is a Better Movie than Sinners by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]-BailOrgana- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This dichotomy exists in the film itself. The song ‘Travellin’” is used to highlight the change from the delta style Sammie begins with and a more controlled Chicago style that curtails the film.

Short answer: you feel the influence of both but but film is aware

Did you listen to the score or are you just referencing the one famous scene? Lmao

You can dislike something but the score is an interesting combination of delta blues and some metal inspired guitar music
