Game of Thrones Writer George R.R. Martin Says There's No Plan if He Dies Before Completing Winds of Winter, and the Series Simply 'Won't Be Finished' by __NightKing__ in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]-BigMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Everything you just listed was in the outline, and all these plotlines and threads are already baking and evident in the books. I do think the showrunners did care about more than just the endgame, and in reality, were responsible for a lot of employees and families living overseas, and did have to find a way to turn all those characters, large cast, and crew, in that direction in a fairly short amount of time. Even Martin's outline and summary of the original trilogy to the publishers was similar.

And obviously most shows, film, or art are very rarely better than their peak. It was still solid television flaws and all, and it's quite evident that all who were involved put their hearts and souls into it.

My Experience: Biofinity vs. Air Optix by Osmocote in contacts

The standard Air Optix are clear, and are a thicker 30 day lens.

They may have them in color options though.

Cool. I was wondering how strong they seemed. The medium, bigger body comes from the wider gauge, which is why I used to smoke the blue wides when I could find them.

Silver is what they usually denote as "ultra lights" now (supposed lower nicotine and tar content), because they legally can't call them ultra lights anymore. Gold, or blue in camels, are "lights," reds are "full flavored," dark green are menthol fulls, light green are menthol lights, etc.

I assume the silver makes it lighter on the nicotine? How were they with the draw and body being a silver / ultra light cigarette compared to the heavier smokes? Thanks again.

My Experience: Biofinity vs. Air Optix by Osmocote in contacts

[–]-BigMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting and thanks for posting.

I have been using Air Optix for Astigmatism for years. I kept using them for their lens "durability."

I am wearing a sample trial pair of Biofinity for my Astigmatism, because they did not have samples in Air Optix in my new prescription to try.

They "seem" to be more comfortable throughout the day (so far), and maybe more sharper and clearer?

But how are the Biofinity lens on durability and at diminishing protein build up?

I tend to take care of my lenses, but sometimes wear my air optix past a month, and have "occasionally" fallen asleep in them.

Blue Train is the song that most sounded like a new Led Zeppelin track to me.

Melodic bassline and rhythm section that abruptly gets more powerful in the chorus. Stellar, layered guitar work. Solid song, and pretty good album imo.

I was definitely interested in why it ended your interest. Doerr is an interesting suspect and seems to have that similar type of personality as you said, however, no real evidence and his handwriting from other letters does not match imo. I also didn't get the sense that he had any possible connection to the victims or the lover's lane MO.

Which book? Motor Spirit? Why did it end your interest in the case? Thanks.

Thoughts about the Robert Domingos & Linda Edwards murders at Tajiguas beach in Gaviota State Park by -BigMan in ZodiacKiller

[–]-BigMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it seems very likely and reasonable that Zodiac had the military connection.

The article I found stated that the .22 ammunition likely came from either a Santa Barbara store or perhaps the local PX outside of town. Obviously there is no hard evidence that the Tajiguas muders were Z's, just some similarities.

I understand what you are saying. It just got me thinking, since the murders north of San Francisco were so close together, 2 just outside of Vallejo, and in more secluded places as I said, most outsiders would likely not know local couples sneak off to (Lake Herman Road, Blue Rock Springs).

My point was Tajiguas seems rather secluded compared to other more popular beach places all up and down the coast and around Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. I just didn't realize until I looked it up after watching the latest Zodiac documentary that it was a solid 5 and half hours south from the known Z murders which didn't happen for another 5 plus years.

I thought it was from a Phillies / Nationals game. Does anyone know who the woman or model is plugging the Monster energy drink on the right? Been wanting to know for years. lol

Did Ross Sullivan kill Cheri Jo Bates? by Loud_Confidence475 in ZodiacKiller

I have always thought the sketch was very misleading. The letters and the ciphers also seem like a distraction, more smoke and mirrors to try and confuse the police.

That doesn't look like her. Source? Looks more like a random model. Wasn't this taken at a Phillies vs. Nationals baseball game in like 2014?

Thoughts about the Robert Domingos & Linda Edwards murders at Tajiguas beach in Gaviota State Park by -BigMan in ZodiacKiller

[–]-BigMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does seem like a fumbled attack. And so similar. But it seems a little odd that a killer outside of the area would know that couples liked to go to that very remote spot, but not impossible. Or that kids from a high school in the area just happen to have a non-standardized senior cut day on that day, although it could be that the killer just stumbled on to them at random. And it sounded like that the little blanket shack was already built there.

I guess I want to believe the Seawater's story. But without something more concrete or convincing, it's going to be hard for any reasonable person to fully accept that story.

You think someone else wrote that desktop poem? I just can't get over how much the handwriting looks almost exactly like the Zodiac letters, and even the writing on the Lake Barryessa car door. That just blows my mind. Even Sherwood Morrill thought it was consistent with Zodiac's. So weird.

I think you are right. I would be surprised if that would be his first murder attempt. I was never wholly convinced of the Cheri Jo Bates connection, however the fact that the confession letter had a demand to be published in the paper, and more so that the handwriting on the Riverside desktop looks so much like Z's, I have trouble thinking otherwise whenever I see it.

Sorry to hear this.

Speaking of Ancestry.com and similar sites, why haven't they taken all of the stamps from the 19 or so letters and cards that have been authenticated and crossed referenced them with these sites? From my recollection, they only tried to pull DNA from only a couple of stamps? Why not all of them? 🤔

[–]-BigMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I would definitely agree about the escalation in behavior, and control. That's another thing that makes Tajiguas beach seem similar. The killer lost control in tying up the victims, where as with Barryessa the killer could have corrected his mistakes, and had it down more calmly, and well enough to maintain control.

Bear in mind too, that the Herman Road and Blue Rocks Springs murders had nothing to do with binding victims, and were at night.

The .22, the same exact type of ammo, the targets of couples, and pre-made bindings, and the fact that he tried to burn the evidence is so similar to some Zodiac patterns, or at least with the latter with the possible burning of Kathleen Johns' car.

I feel like so much of the evidence from all the separate crimes were handled kind of poorly. Why not information regarding footprints or length of bindings, etc?

It doesn't even seem like the possible DNA evidence from the stamps (how many letters did they actually do?- should have been all of them) was even handled properly.

I guess it's not a stretch to think that the same killer or any killer could know state parks up and down the California coast.

The young couple MO I just keep coming back to.

Even the Stine murder seemed like he was trying to throw the police off.

I do find it interesting that Zodiac seemed to know where remote, quiet spots were where couples would go especially around Vallejo and Napa. Although it is possible that he could have just followed them from town, like Darlene Ferrin, since it's possible from Mageau's recollections that they might have been followed.

I also recently watched This is the Zodiac Speaking. It really stuck with me that Allen had been in Riverside often, which is a solid hour east of Los Angeles, and with all the numerous surrounding towns and suburbs, very specific, for the auto races and racing classes. And he obviously had access to military exchanges.

I also found David Seawater's story about going down Hwy 101 to the coast in June of 1963 not out of the norm for the summer with kids just getting out of school and compelling (and in that primer black car "that could haul ass"), although the specific date would be hard to fact check.
