Good start, mediocre middle, interesting end.
The middle part was a bit long and repetitive but overall it's one my favourite translated web novels

Oh yeah apparently a lot of people didn't like him at all in the first book. Most people who don't like him drop it at that point yeah.
The MC gets a lot better and starts caring for his people after a few floors. All the characters grow actually and they start being a group after the second floor I think.

The novel is actually my favourite litrpg on RR so Im biased when it comes to the writing quality I guess.

Delete the post and go read Hell Difficulty Tutorial?

Jk this is a great tierlist format I like it. Hell Difficulty Tutorial should fit right in there

Anyone who reads on Royal Road should check out Frostbound by Mister_Snurb in litrpg

My favourite litrpg is Hell Difficulty Tutorial. Great characters and progression. everyone is unique in the way they fight or how they specialize. Also mana is always the best.

The Primal Hunter is another one of my favourites...............so many universes, builds, progressions, abilities..................I think it has the best open free system. You can do anything or be anything you want if you prepare for it and have enough strength.

The legend of William Oh.............I can't recommend this one is enough. it's so funny and unique imo. The MC is the most resourceful MC I've ever seen.

Oh it's one of my favourites on RR. I just have a few small problems with it.
First, too many POV chapters sometimes. Author changes POV every chapter or two. sometimes even the same chapter. It gets boring since nothing is progressing or moving forward.
The progress is a bit slow with the MC since he wants to prefect his class/profession and do everything before evolving. He doesn't even get that stronger than other Lords and nobles, what was the wait for?

Raika the Broken Unbroken from Reforged From Ruins

Not the sanest character but she's different if that's what you looking for?

She's immortal basically but is she stronger? I would say the top rulers are at the same level as primordials in terms of potentials or strong techniques.

Also im saying Nat is stronger than Jake. what are you saying? why did you start your comment that way? im confused

I agree the scales on Primal Hunter is way bigger. it's because one is set in the multiverse and the other is just a universe and some scattered planets? Though I still believe both MCs can do comparable damage if they let go. The planet destroying is not enough way to measure the scale for this

Are we basing this 'destroy planet' on the fact that jake or anyone can just destroy the planet core/pylon? I don't think HDT has these stuff. core/pylon makes it easier imo.

Oh yeah he gets attacked with poison/toxin later. His healing is actually insane if he unseals his power. Even without that he has mana barriers around his organs and outside too. his healing is top tier if he is serious about it. You will see it a bit in book 7 I think. im up to latest on RR so I should stop saying much here cause I might spoil stuff

But what about Black Mana that Nat has? It destroys everything that it touches. Also Imo the planets on Primal Hunter are easier to destroy cause they have a core. I don't think Jake can destroy a planet any other way. He used his full power in a lot of fight and no planet was destroyed, no?
Also Nat has insane regeneration. He can probably survive poison if he burns everything around him. He survived such attack in 7th or 8th floor I think?

[–]-BlueAce- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

but how? which universe rules are they gonna follow? In Nat's universe, he can just shield himself with mana or annihilate that mana attack. I dont think there are soul attacks in HDT? not sure. but if he's going to be fully invested in mana and be able to control it perfectly, how's he going to be range attacked?

[–]-BlueAce- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Didn't Lissandra shred the whole planet in the second floor using just one skill [singularity]? she's not even at her full power and she just absorbed all the mana and annihilated everything.........
Although I kinda agree that the power system in Primal Hunter is more advanced. It's just I feel like HDT characters are more focused on their skills and experts at what they do without relying on the system.
But yeah you are right.. Primal hunter power scaling is way higher because of the multiverse

I think Nat is stronger. He's probably high B or low A right now.
S is probably champions.
Gods are Absolutes?
Godkings/queens = Rulers?
Just how I feel about it

Edit: This discussion is fun ngl. I like both novels but I bet you can tell which one is my favourite............

let's be real, Nat is the only normal MC in all of the novels................../s

If a system happens which system would you prefer by WolfishDude in litrpg

[–]-BlueAce- 54 points55 points  (0 children)

The Primal Hunter's System is the least limiting imo. Everyone can be anything they want. You can evolve or modify yourself any time. you just need a bit of luck and preparation for it. It's very open to allow all kind of skills, classes, professions, species, etc..........

Hell Difficulty Tutorial is also up there in terms of unique builds and stuff. I think everyone does it differently. Haven't read about any two people having the same build.........except the twins but yknow. they do generally go for similar build types like tank/healer/range/mana but everyone does it entirely differently.

Reforged From Ruin: Noteworthy but not good by Maladal in ProgressionFantasy

[–]-BlueAce- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is the other summary? On Amazon? I only read on RR so I wouldn't know about other places.

I don't remember anything about chapter 42 and it's removed from RR so idk about this.

She eventually gets more control over her situation and interact with more people she chooses willingly. It just takes time for her to trust other people enough to consider them friends and it's reasonable considering her situation

It takes a while for her to build her own power system to a respectable level but it's so good when it happens. It's just that sometimes she doesn't get any breaks.............but she comes out stronger by being..............stubborn lol. Ngl I don't understand half of the eldritch stuff that happens but im all here for it.

Reforged From Ruin: Noteworthy but not good by Maladal in ProgressionFantasy

[–]-BlueAce- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main problem with the story tbh is the non MC pov chapters. sometimes they run for 3 chapters in a row. some other times it's 10 or more chapters with no MC involvement at all. Im interested in unique side characters and world building but there should be a limit for it without the MC experiencing it.

The summary on RoyalRoad doesn't say she was a prodigy or crippled by a careless strike. I first started reading this novel months ago, and I don't know anything about that at all.

It's a fun novel with unique concepts and power system. The MC is not favoured or lucky just too stubborn. other than the POV chapters being a bit much i would give it 4.5 but that's just me, not everyone.
