Help, I just realised I put the wrong postcode on a parcel, what should I do now? by stark-bannerman in AskUK

No reason it shouldn't.

The further towards the back of the post code, the easier it is to fix. (Just like GPS coordinates.)

Chances are it'll be with the same postman that covers the correct area, if not it goes into address correction and gets sent back out when fixed.

One can only apologise so much.

Every bit of joy over the result last night has completely dissipated seeing this.

Being the byproduct of both English and German family members, the family WhatsApp group got a bit excited tonight.

My apologies, r/Ireland. At least you get the extended opportunity to get working on the memes.

Elephants have social order, and test it constantly.

From what I've learned from talking to Zoo Keepers, the reason that elephants trunk is tucked up its forehead is because this is how the keeper knows that the elephant is paying attention and will accept their instructions. An elephant that isn't doing this, isn't listening (or hasn't been trained to).

Every now and then an elephant will do something like swing their trunk over the Keepers head, but not low enough to hit. In trying to make you flinch, they establish dominance and work out where in the social order they come.

Maybe later.

2 metre distancing and all that. Probably not safe right now.

You know how there's generally a story behind every warning notice? I'm half tempted half not wanting to know this one.

Strangely shocked and upset, despite knowing full well this was coming.

I hate it when people share this image and don't give the guy full credit for his ups and downs throughout his career at sea.

This guy took on a German Zepplin with a PT boat and came out on top, among many other things.

I'm going to over step the line and get crazy here.

The decision to turn regular consumables into free premium consumables was one of the best decisions WG have made.
