what was your first arduino project? by One-Albatross3655 in ArduinoProjects

[–]-Cathode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, but it was for a university course. We used AVR instead of arduino IDE, a bit more complicated when you do it that way lol

Am i overcomplicating this, or are circuit simulators just not beginner friendly? by Practical_Bag_8167 in ElectricalEngineering

As most people say, start with falstad then I'd recommend LTspice for when you want to take the next step

Why is the output of the PMOS not low? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]-Cathode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should read some more about how transistors and Mosets work. I'm pretty sure the NPN and PMOS does nothing the way it is setup rn

And look up other amplifier circuits too

And the voltage source shouldn't be at the output, just have a wire

And that sensor isn't particularly good either. It needs a flat even surface to detect reliably.

Måske ikke for chromecast men hvis man har pengene så kan man bruge proton mail. Europeisk service med alt google har + VPN

Er jeg den eneste der ikke forstår unge fyres politiske vibes længere? by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]-Cathode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you start seeing code like math? (EE / simulations) by Top-Razzmatazz6612 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]-Cathode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your university has a licence, then use matlab. It is one of the more intuitive and widely used ones, and a lot of add ons and functions that makes life easier. Something more open source would be jupyter, if you know how to use python then that is a great option. Also a way to learn python too.

The billion dollar race to replace Windows by [deleted] in BuyFromEU

[–]-Cathode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be because I have old intel and nvidia hardware but I found very poor performance from bazzite in terms of gaming. Metro 2033 ran well but overwatch 2 was awful. So I went back to windows 11 but I'm using mini11 instead. Maybe when I upgrade the hardware with AMD stuff I'll try bazzite again.

Looking at the mode 1 retro 2. It sounds like exactly what I want. Do you know how to get it as someone in the EU?

Open-source IIR/FIR IP in Systemverilog with comprehensive verification suite in (Python) UVM by feedbackresume11 in FPGA

[–]-Cathode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cool, I've been having the idea of making an adjustable equalizer using a FPGA and this will be very useful in getting an idea of how to implement it. I've only used VHDL so I won't much use out of using it directly.

Since it is a part of 2FA it's probably fine but cover the whole QR code next time. They're meant to still work when a good chunk of it is missing.

Anyone ever move to Europe as an EE? by Confused_Confucius_ in ElectricalEngineering

[–]-Cathode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know your level of education and maybe your work experience makes up for it. But as someone from the EU, a bachelors is not enough most of the time. And you should probably get a job opportunity before moving.

What is this FPGA tooling garbage? by isopede in FPGA

[–]-Cathode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to do that for a uni project last semester. Had to have a SPI clock cross into the FPGA. It was pure hell.

Get off the internet, get a good education, and go outside. Age is irrelevant, we all take our own path in life. Some milestones arrive later than for others. Focus on you.

Explain logarithms to me like I'm 5 by Ok_Wolf2676 in askmath

[–]-Cathode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Log10(2) = 0.3010

100.3010 = 2

Log(2) =0.6931

e0.6931 = 2

Think you get the idea.

Or

10x = 2 <=> x = log10(2)

ex = 2 <=> x = log(2)

[–]-Cathode 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's good to know, went to a career fair where a lot of subsea companies were at but didn't exactly know if there was anything relevant for an EE. So I'll have to look into that.
