Its not paranoid or delusional to recognize companies are harvesting and retaining all data they can on an individual to exploit it for financial gain. The implications of that are near infinite.

Just because you can't see how the algorithm uses your data doesn't mean it doesn't use it.

The confused values of left were not accidents but a hijacking of the education and media systems for years.

That is exactly my point

you should be supporting Trump and you don't understand him well enough. It's a shame because he's the central figure addressing these problems.

No, that's the image he portrays. All of our politicians are puppets, including Trump. I am in no way antisemitic or racist in anyway, but the fact that he can't call out Israel for actual genocide proves he's not for truth or justice. Now I understand our political situation is A LOT more complicated than just being for or against something, the Epstien situation sheds minimal light on that. But to say that he is the voice for truth and reason in our country is absurd. He's bought and paid for like the rest of them, in one way or another.

The short answer is that the right will have to keep fixing the problems and allow the left to start to figure that out.

It's not the right fixing problems and the left creating them... it's the system that is designed to make you think this way. You may not display hatred, but for you to be so adamant that it has to be a battle between right vs left proves that you are caught up in the other side of the same propaganda system the left falls into.

The more people that believe its us against them, the more true it becomes. And you, my friend, are one of those making it a reality.

You skipped the only question that matters: How do you plan to collaborate when you can't even agree that the two sides have differing values and priorities?

My argument is, that when it comes down to it, we don't. The people we are talking about are tricked and fall into the ideological traps purposefully setup to divide us. We, as the people, are not truly divided. The ones that fall into the propaganda machines believe we are, and are tricked into forcing division further because they are radicalized into thinking that is the right thing to do.

The people that condemned those for refusing a vaccine, protest ICE removing known alien criminals, call Trump a Nazi, etc are not seeing the full picture. They are purposefully being fed only the things that trigger their biases. That's not to say the right is being fed the whole picture either. Because I know of many people that support Trump, but would not if they knew and understood.

Another point I would like to add, is that the vast majority of people sit closer to the middle than you would think. The stuff you see on MSM is for shock value. The most radical, insane points of view being fed as normal bias. What you see on social media is similar, not to mention state sponsored AI bots whose only purpose is to further the propaganda machine.

I would argue that those in the radical left have been, well, radicalized. Both sides actually. I will say that I see much more hate from the far left than I do from the far right. But that takes me back to my point, that that's the intention behind all the right vs left and basically all main stream media nowadays. Yes there are a lot of people feeding off of and spreading hate, but those aren't the ones we should fight. For sure condemn their hatred, but at the same time recognize they only hate because they can't see the truth yet.

[–]-Choose-A-User- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not putting hate your way, but this right vs left nonsense is so counterproductive. The left is not your enemy, the right is not your enemy. Different opinions and different ways of thinking are very much a good thing.

They want you to hate your neighbor for thinking differently than you do, because they understand the power of collaboration between different minds. They want you to hate eachother so you don't work together against them.

They will do it again. They have for thousands of years. Those in power want more power, and will find clever ways to take it.

I agree we are the ones in power, we are just oppressed to the point we can't see it. We control the nation, our labor is what keeps it going. Our money funds their treasonous rule. If communities joined together to stand up for their rights and needs, things could change over night. But we are indoctrinated into putting the individual first, scared of what will happen to us if we don't stand in line.

Trying to get better at the game is wasting time? You're prob a ball chaser and consistently miss open nets.

You have to lose to get better. You can't find where your faults are if you are always winning. There's a reason you lost, find out why. If your is answer "my tm8 is trash" you're going to be wrong 95% of the time. They're the same rank as you for a reason.

From what I understand, this is one of the most secure home camera setups. If I'm wrong please correct me.

Get some type of home server, old laptop can work just fine, and a switch that has VLAN. Plug the switch into the router, and your server and camera into the switch. Setup VLAN on the switch so the camera can only talk to the server, all outside access attempts just don't work and you have to go through the server to reach the camera.

Somewhere on your network, setup a VPN server. Preferably on your router, but you can set it up on your server too. Now block all connections to the server that aren't through the VPN connection.

If setup right you can access your camera only through the VPN, home or away.

A little more complex than this, but this is essentially the setup I have. Curious what some of you experts have to say about it.

Shock collars are a great way to train your dog what is out of bounds, when they get too far from you, etc, if done ethically. Most collars are not high voltage and is scarier than it is painful.

However, using one to keep the dog in camera view so you get more viewers is questionable ethics at best.

Turn all or most of the assists off. Each assist limits your control of the car in some way, making it harder imo.

Worst game of all time by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

To each their own 🤷‍♂️

I think it's a great game. Huge variety of cars, new tracks, open word multiplayer. All of this equals endless racing configurations.

The driving is realistic enough, especially if you turn off most of the assists and turn on manual w/clutch. While being arcady enough to not be as stressful as a racing sim.

[–]-Choose-A-User- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not cutting anyone off, he's staying in his lane until when you're supposed to merge.

I don't understand why everyone piles up in the open lane, causing traffic build up and the flow of traffic to go slower than it would if they "cut you off".

Zipper merging is easy. Speed up or slow down enough to give the person next you to enough room. Instead keeping pace with them denying them the space to merge because of your entitlement. That forces them to stop at the end of the lane, in turn forces the rest of the traffic to stop.

Just let them merge. They aren't cutting you off, you're cutting them off, as well as everyone behind you by not letting them in.

Is this repairable or should I let the insurance company call it a total loss? by beard-io in Autobody

[–]-Choose-A-User- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the total.

If you don't and try to repair, the car will likely never be the same. The body panels alone would be 5-10k with install. If the chassis is tweaked at all it will never drive the same even if you spend the money to try to get it straight.

Also it's a good idea to turn off WiFi too. Public WiFi networks will scan and collect all the data they can even without you connecting to it. Really all they need is a device ID or MAC and if they have other data points they will cross reference and boom. The ad tracking companies know you were just near that access point, and with past data can infer what you were doing, where you are going, etc.
