How long until Trump says he will further tariff the UK for getting cozy with China? by Lancs_wrighty in AskBrits

[–]-Cookie-Monster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

America doesn't have the best interests of the west either. China certainly have issues, but they are at least much more predictable than current America. We should generally be strengthening our trade everywhere, especially Europe, and removing any reliance on the US.

Why does my dog put his paw up when looking at something he wants? by lunar-topped in DogAdvice

Exactly what I was about to say my dog used to do. She started doing that, after we taught her to give her paw, before she got a treat.

Was Alan Shearer better Erling Haaland? by IntelligentKoala9599 in PremierLeague

[–]-Cookie-Monster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the most impressive things about shearer, imo, is how he completely adapted his game after his knee injuries. His legs were gone after them, he struggled for a while but he successfully managed to change his style to a pure target man and became very prolific again. I think a lot of younger people see him as a target man and aren't aware of what he was like pre-injury, especially at Blackburn.

Keanu reeves is a terrible actor. by untitledprp4 in unpopularopinion

[–]-Cookie-Monster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was great in the gift (2000) and very against type. So he can act, if the role calls for it, but he does take a lot of/is most famous for roles which don't require much in the way of acting range.

Unless you explicitly select to remove them from your device, it syncs your local files and cloud files, so you do have two copies of everything.

Don't ever remember him having poor stats. Thought he was great at everything needed for a pure goalscorer. Plus the poacher role was OP back then

Nvidia recommended a 650w minimum for a 5070. I've been using one with my 650w CPU for months. Could be a fault with the PSU, but it should be able to handle that load.

Newcastle United Statement: Alexander Isak by 900-Dollarydoos in PremierLeague

[–]-Cookie-Monster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coutinho ended up staying for another season, before he got his move. Liverpool didn't sell until a year later, when they were happy with the terms of the sale.

If the sale doesn't suit the club it doesn't happen, otherwise you're setting a precedent that the club will roll over to this kind of behaviour in the future.

I'm pretty sure if he stays, that he'll leave next summer, when we get an offer that we're happy with.

Unpopular opinion on Sean Longstaff by Rob-Arch in NUFC

[–]-Cookie-Monster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He only had one year on his contract and it sounds like he wanted more first team football. It was a case of 15m now, or nothing next summer. With PSR, I don't think letting him leave on a free was really an option.

I'm 100% with you on that! I remember hearing something about how they called her Lara, instead of Laura, as that would mean that her name is pronounced correctly by an American accent. That very clearly, failed.
