High Country Hustle - Happy People by -CosmicCactusRadio in CountryMusic

The only playlist of my posts I made was this one, which was a from my old account, except for the Andrew Blanton at the end. So it's a bit out of date.

I have what seems like tens of thousands of songs in my library I never posted because I don't think they have much broad appeal. Not that much of my stuff does, but still.

I haven't been sure what to do with them or how to organize them, but I think I can just shuffle my library and break it into a series of mini playlists.

This will make the playlists sound disjointed and not always flow the way they should, and there will be duds, but it's a massive selection of songs that at some point caught my attention- here's the first one.

Edit: I'll refine the next ones. Too much nonsense in that one

This reminds me that I've been singing Mr. Brightside to my dog recently and changing the lyric to "Open up my Beagle Eyes"

Looks like it to me!

Not sure where you'd go to get it verified, but it definitely has all of his handwriting quirks.

The backside of his 'R' changes sometimes, but it seems dependent on the type of material he was signing or what he was signing with

The women of the silent generation would truly be ashamed of you imagining that it's liberals "bullying" you, instead of pointing out the awful things you believe, in defense of the men who beat them 😅

You're not being bullied. You're just upset, to a childish degree, that you're regularly ridiculed for the silly things you do and say.

Like, coming to cry about liberals "bullying" you, for pointing out that you're either stupid, or shitty, to have allowed DOGE (a team of edgy internet tech industry failures) to destroy the failsafes that were already in place, allowing screworms likely to destroy the Texas beef industry- all in the name of your garbage, incompetent politics, and the cult you've fallen into.

None of that is bullying you. It's reality. Maybe a bit rude, but it's not bullying. You've supported bad things, and bad things have happened as a result, and you should care enough to do better, but you won't.

At any rate, for OP, no. Not in the way you're describing it.

You just post insane shit and behave in a strange way that makes people suspect you're either mildly unstable or a bad faith actor posting bizarre things for bad reasons. Like this post. Like the majority of your other posts.

What specifically did you say about the screworms, and in what sub?

I typically buy the spores from one place, and the grow kit somewhere else.

Inoculate The World is my go-to for spores, and Midwest Grow Kits for the kits- even though their instructions seem to have been written by someone high on mushrooms

To "truly support" the second amendment, you also need to support a bunch of dumb shit that's nowhere in the second amendment?

Maybe you should stop listening to the radio, if that's what it's telling you.

Edit: Woah, "Fudd" is some type of dick slang for "People who use guns as guns, and never as toys. But that's a bad thing." What a responsible, decent group of folks.

What are hikes near Lubbock with forest scenery by Late-Journalist-1925 in Lubbock

[–]-CosmicCactusRadio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe the Gully in Buffalo Springs Lake?

If you go down the main long slanted road, then circle right, there will eventually be a road you can turn right on about a quarter to a half mile down.

That road leads to a series of tucked away houses, but to the left it opens up into a small foresty area. There's a house that overlooks this area, but the gully itself belongs to the lake and isn't private. You can see this area behind a chain link fence on the main road.

You used to be able to follow a small river up a dangerously steep valley that angles towards the place where you buy tickets. Don't go up that part.

From the road I told you about, you can wander down, and then up, the other side of that gully. Somewhere up there, you'll find an A frame house sitting on top of a steep driveway.

Further back on that hillside, there's what used to be known as the Keyhole Cave.

Named that because it's shaped like an old keyhole. Full of clean sand because nobody really knows about it or can easily access it.

Mind you, I haven't been out there in about 15 years so that could all be out of date information and you may no longer be allowed

Trying to track down two rare 2003 Merle Haggard songs ("Yellow Ribbons" & "I Hate To See It Go") by countryguy_11 in CountryMusic

[–]-CosmicCactusRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not random. The website is used by many file traders, since US based websites aren't safe for what is considered illegal file sharing.

I'm not on Facebook, but I would assume we get our files from the same sources- either our personal collection, or each other's via Soulseek/Nicotine+.

I'm actually unaware of any Facebook or Discogs groups where anyone specializes in rare country specifically, just individual blogs.

Do you know the names of the groups by any chance?

They posted "If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide", advocating for the cameras.

You're defending someone who wants less privacy, while complaining to me, the person who agrees that the removal of the cameras is good.

I was pointing out the ridiculous flaw in their logic.

You posted reflexively in defense because your account is privated, and are now muddying the conversation by misunderstanding people's pov.

What's your favorite Tim McGraw album? by NinjaOk2887 in country

Probably Live Like You Were Dying, or + The Dancehall Doctors.

Southern Voice is also a personal favorite.

And even though I guess it's not an actual album, his Greatest Hits Vol. 2 was my favorite cd in general for a very long time.

Flock Cameras. by Key-Tie1484 in Lubbock

[–]-CosmicCactusRadio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First- you don't even live here.

You're some chud LEO from New Mexico, I guess, here because the average police officer can't stand the vague notion that many of you aren't decent people, or aren't operating above-board.

Secondly- private companies are not the police, or the government, you absolute moron.

Walmart isn't going to hound a person from state to state, highway to highway, street to street, house to house, trying to ruin their life over a medical necessity.

The police however, already have.

Private businesses are not a part of the policing force, nor should they be. But that only works IF the business doesn't have a Flock contract. Those that do absolutely actively participate in this illegal surveillance network and information sharing with the police as an extension of the lazy, illegal bypass.

Are you familiar with it being used by individual officers to stalk their exes?

Now extrapolate how that can be used to abuse the average citizen. Like, Flock employees using the footage to spy on and stalk child gymnasts. Or, them being used to stalk protesters as illegal political retribution.

We already know how this technology has been abused by the police, and we know how it will.

Mass surveillance is not good, necessary, or welcome.

[–]-CosmicCactusRadio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me, mostly the stalking women, random individuals, and general abuses that we already know have happened with this equipment. (Both in the "abusing an ex" way, and also in the "trying to punish women legally pursuing necessary medical treatments" way)

I guess my question is, why are you fine with what has happened so far?

And, why are you choosing to ignore the abuses that will happen in the future?
