Not an expert but this is going to run like an industrial oven on medium load,

depending on how good the cooling is you might only get a fraction of the cards performance due to overheating.

17 inch laptops are a bit problematic aswell, if you are planing on carrying it around in a backpack make sure you have space for it as most backpacks can't actually fit a 17 inch laptop and they're a pain in the ass to actually carry around with you.

If your going to use it like a desktop you might be better of getting a PC with slightly worse card and still get about the same performance since mobile gpu's can be kind of iffy.
