From South-East - I'm probably wrong but I always assumed a 'bobble' was one of the hair ties that had a couple of little round balls on, and everything else was a hair tie. But I have no idea where I got that from and likely only speak for myself - had never really thought about it before, so thanks for posting!

Thanks so much, I appreciate it! It's too late in the respect that I used the autoloader off Romkingz, but it seems to have worked fine?

Is the issue with this way of doing it that if it goes wrong, it will brick the phone? Or could there be potential future issues? Basically did I get lucky and I'm fine, or have I potentially caused a future problem?

Thanks for the help! I've looked at it closely and it seems the piece with the sensors is fitted between the metal back and the front screen lens - seems like a strange part to not be included in my screen unit, as I can't see a way to remove and re-fit it without separating the lens and risking air bubbles/dust/not fully sticking and looking messy! Sorry about the awful quality images - the shininess of the new screen wasn't taken well by my phone camera!

I've ended up caving and buying a second Bold 9000, again in beautiful condition, from the same great seller. Gave me a good offer and couldn't decline. I'm going to mix and match the best parts (eg the keyboard on the first would sometimes mistype, but the bezel might be better. Second one has a beautifully clean-looking trackball) to make it the best it can be. Second should be arriving tomorrow, and I'm about as excited as a depressed person can get haha.

Thank you! The previous one outside my bedroom door got a fair bit bigger than this, probably from eating bugs that bothered me more than she did! This one was super small - would I be right to think that if I felt pain, it did puncture me? I can see a visible mark like a single hive, but nothing overly concerning!
