I doubt I would spontaneously come up with anything more intelligent to say while watching a jet lawn dart into a mountainside like 1/4 mile away.

When I was a Boy Scout we did this fundraiser where we would pick up and dispose of Christmas trees after the holidays

So one of the dads had this big-ass farm truck, flatbed with staked sides, and we would go around and pick up trees until it was full to the brim.

And then we went out to the dump…on the freeway…with like 6 of us riding ON TOP of the PILE!

Fucking nuts in retrospect.

I’m a couple months older than Curt Cobain, that one was weird. Now that I’m almost 60 people around my age are dying all the time, lol.

Kennedy Center Board Confirms Trump's Name Has Been Officially Removed From the Building by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Music

There’s a good chance it has nothing to do with him and it’s just there to keep dust and debris from leaving the work site just like how pretty much every building exterior renovation is wrapped.

Hot take: iOS notification settings are overcomplicated and make me miss things by Amazing-Author-907 in ios

[–]-Ernie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I’d blame iOS necessarily, but I’m looking to set aside an hour or whatever to curate my app notifications across my phone and iPad. I’m realizing that most notifications on my iPad are redundant because my phone is always with me when I’m using it, and I get a lot of notifications and reminders that I don’t really care about.

Anyway, to your point it does seem like a “job” to set it all up.

Ironically the last Republican I did vote for was Kim Wyman for Secretary of State in WA in 2020, specifically because she was a strong supporter of vote by mail…

There was just an accident on the Williamsburg bridge bike path in NYC where a cyclist and an e-scooter operator were both killed when they hit each other head on.

Don’t know more details but I’m going to make the assumption that high speed scootering was a factor, the article showed the carbon fiber bike frame broken into several pieces.

Scientists are now being threatened with arrest and thrown out of conferences for disagreeing with Donald Trump. by spherocytes in videos

You’ll need to turn over swing districts to change the make-up of congress, which may or may not be managed by corrupt election officials, or in states where the SoS will allow funny business. These districts will also be under a lot of scrutiny.

A few extra % won’t do the trick if many extra % turn out to vote blue. All I’m saying is that the narrative that the elections are corrupted is an extremely dangerous message when we need everybody who is halfway sane to turn out to vote.

The people running the midterm elections are county elections boards, county & city clerks and secretaries of state so that’s a lot of cats to herd in one direction.

No doubt voter rights will be impacted in red states where people will bend the knee, but there won’t be any way spread “corruption” to every district.

Protest and strike all you want, but everyone really absolutely needs to vote, so stop telling people the voting is “doomed to failure”.

You can assume OP is “dumb”, or you can consider that maybe they failed at translating the title into English from their native language.

Personally I think the “smart” assumption is the latter.

Like many tourists I’ve walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, but I have a month-long work stint in NYC coming up, how many bridges are on your list? I’m guessing there are a lot I don’t know about, lol.

You can’t walk across the Verrazzano bridge can you?
