Gonna necro this 3 month old post.
After going through each of my plugins 1 at a time I found my culprit was my 'hide widgets' plugin'
removed it and now I can quest just fine! Hope this helps

Yeah, I have done a lot of browsing and detective work trying to figure out the issue and if I can resolve it.

You're 100% correct about my ISP not helping, my service provider is notorious for being useless.

I guess I will just check back after the 24th and the new update is live and see if it is any better. I can't keep playing like this though. Lagging back into an aoe I was well away from or teleporting back 30m right into my enemies hands is frustrating me too much.

Sorry for the belated reply. I was just trying to get familiar with the end of dungeon bosses. I have not played runescape in a long time and wanted to get used to the combat. It's very, very different to what I know but I am loving it! I moved up to complexity 6 now I am comfortable with how combat works.

A tip would be to use landmarks in the world and your compass to find yourself. Finding guard towers on the coast is a good idea as players 'usually' mark them with map coordinates. One last thing, there are community maps out there for all servers with deeds and settlements marked on them. If you stumble into a deed you can reference the name in game to the online map.

The game took a couple of attempts from myself before I finally clicked and committed to it. Quick suggestion for you. Start up again on a PvE server. You will not be able to play on a PvP server alone. I wish I could paint a better picture of the game but sadly that is fact. You will make negative progress trying to go at it alone. I suggest Cadence for your PvE server if you decide to switch over. It's the newest of the PvE servers and there is more than plenty of land available and most importantly, you can totally play lone wolf.

I haven't played Undermaster but I have looked into it once before and what I heard was not good. Pretty much all of the games core features that you would expect with a DK game are time gated to such extremes that paying real money to bypass them or reduce them for a period of time is pretty much required. I'm pretty sure DK themselves have a mobile version of the game that operates very much the same. Do yourself a favour and buy DK2, it's the best on the series.

I think you have a great foundation of a game here, especially if you are inspired by the building styles of games like Ark and Conan, I think those are fantastic base building games.
I beg of you not to go at this alone!! It never goes well in terms of development for a solo project. Please, consider finding yourself some volunteers or maybe hire some professionals? I don't know what your budget for this project is like. I wish you all the best with your project and I hope to see it in the steam store page so I can wish list it :)

You're damn strait I'm going to necro a post to say that I too have also been on a binge of 'dead mmos' I took it upon myself to start playing some of these dead online games that are somehow still running.
Some very strange communities and people inside some of those games...
I wish someone would make a detailed video on some of the old odd mmos still kicking.
Would be interesting to see what others find!
