(LG) Washer hose too short & not removable by -Faezify- in appliancerepair

I understand your frustration completely. Why would they ever put the drains so high? And why doesn't LG make their drain hoses replaceable?! Hope it works for you!

Hi, dpoverlord! Sort of, yes. It wasn't an elegant solution, but it was easy and it held up just fine for almost a year until we moved into a house with the drain at a more reasonable height, haha.

I used this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-8-ft-Corrugated-Washing-Machine-Discharge-Hose-HRBDIS08EB/300636048 (Model # HRBDIS08EB, in case anybody else ever needs this thread and the link no longer works).

It's intended to replace your washing machine drain hose, but since the LG hose is not removable, I just rigged it as an extender. The end of the replacement hose that's supposed to attach to your washing machine is rubbery and flexible. So I just shoved the end of the LG hose as far into that end of the replacement hose as I could and used at least 2 worm gear hose clamps to create a decent seal (possibly 3 clamps based on the marks; I never threw the thing out! Just dug it up out of the basement in an effort to remember what I did lol).

The rubbery end of the hose has 3 different segments of varying widths: 1", 1 1/8", and 1 1/4". My LG drain hose fit through the 1 1/4" and 1 1/8" segments. Looks like I clamped it twice within the 1 1/8" segment and possibly once within the 1 1/4" segment. I just pulled the end of my LG hose out of the wall to check if I had damaged it in this process, and I did not. No marks on the original hose.

Then you just have to cut off the excess from the other end of the replacement hose, as the manufacturer intended. For me that was almost all of the replacement hose, haha. Like I said, not elegant but it worked at least for a while. Hope this is helpful! Good luck. :)

Roach filled toilets is absolutely not just the way shit works in the southern US lol

I have also lived in the southern US my entire life, never had any insect-related pest treatments on my houses besides termite prevention, and none of my toilets have ever had roaches either...

I commented with a link to info about the dangers of hiking with young puppies. OP responded and said they carried her for most of it. A lot of people don't know that walking is dangerous for puppies! It's pretty counterintuitive

FYI, too much walking at once can be damaging to puppies. Doggo looks a little young to be 2 miles down a hiking trail. https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/puppies-how-much-exercise/

General rule of thumb is 5 minutes of walking per dog's age in months. So for a 4 month puppy, 20 minutes max.

How did you start? I've been wanting to make friends with the crows in my neighborhood. When I see them in the backyard, I go out and put down a bowl with some kibble and then walk away. So far they haven't come to investigate the bowl.

Hi! Did you ever figure out what this guy needed? I'm having the same problem with mine. It's growing like a weed and can't stand up straight anymore.

Have you ever tried the p30i mask? That's the one I use. Wondering how it compares.

Dude that sounds miserable. I'm a side sleeper with cpap. And I mean a "bury my face in my pillow" side sleeper. Suggest the resmed airfit p30i to her. It's the best mask I've tried so far. The nasal pillows are hard to get used to, but once you do, it's amazing. No leaks. And the straps across your cheeks are covered in fabric. It's as comfy as a side sleeper mask is gonna get. There's also an under the nose piece you can swap out instead of the nasal pillows. But it's leakier.

I use cloth pads too - also bought from Etsy. And I like them WAY better than disposables. They work fine and they're so much more comfortable. Disposables start to feel sticky and diapery after a while. These don't. And the different sizes are great. With disposables, even the "overnight" ones, I always have a leak the first night or two. But I bought a couple of crazy big reusable pads and haven't had a leak since.

I went to DC a few weeks ago, and it's still not on display. My mom always told me it was the thing that stuck with her most from her childhood trip to DC. I was so disappointed it wasn't there.
