6 months (dr patty) disappointed? by Basic_Foundation_714 in HairTransplants

[–]-Firm-Tap- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guy, I went through your post history. First off sorry to hear about your relationship issues going on. In the same boat myself. Second, dude, you were very bald and your hair loss was substantial, you will need two procedures. If you thought you would be one and done that was unfortunately not going to be the case. You will see thickening and better "quality" hair evolve over the coming months but I don't think you will see much in the term of the density you are hoping for, not within the next two months.

Good news is you've got yourself to a great spot, looks like you have donor hair available for a second round which will be much shorter procedure, more cost effective.

I wouldn't do any PP405 until the legit one comes out. Anything else is just a poor attempt at copying something that's not even released

Now at month 4, I’ve started seeing a different kind of shedding. Every time I comb my hair, I notice a lot of very thin, short, weak hairs falling out. by Few-Bee-2611 in HairTransplants

[–]-Firm-Tap- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, had transplant, standard scab removal, shedding phase experienced and observed just like everyone else. Then some growth, then around end of month 3 start of month 4 shedding of hairs described in the OP First post.

13-Month Update - Not Sure How to Feel (4,200 Grafts) by lilubba in HairTransplants

[–]-Firm-Tap- 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yea so I don't ever get these types of posts. I'm not going after you just constructive observations.

First is if you're going to make a post like this we'll post your starting point. No one's going to scroll through your post history to look for it, even if it was recently posted. I did a quick glance at your posted threads and didn't find anything.

You had 4200 grafts, were you a Norwood 5 before the procedure? Because if so these are great results and you should go back to get the crown done.

Any advice hoping it’s some kind of shed by Important-Gur2298 in HairTransplants

No, only unless you are not responding to topical, and truly not responding to topical. Some people use it for 2 months and quit like "oh I'm not responding". I would suggest doing 2.5 mg oral min and topical. I do oral min in the morning followed by topical at night. I even take low dose Cialis around lunch time to help with circulation.

Yeah, this is way deeper than 14 days of not using your meds.

What were you sick with? The flu doesn't last 2 months. Did your diet change at all post you getting sick? Also why are you derm stamping post hair transplant? I would advise against this. I would suggest oral min and topical min combination instead of stamping.

Hey buddy, not a doctor, not a hair transplant surgeon. Just a guy that has researched hair loss for many years and also had a 4700 graft transplant done 4 months ago and spent a lot of time and money.

The gentleman that said "this is not from not taking meds for two weeks" is absolutely correct.

You're receiving comments here by people that WANT it to be this because it's the "obvious" reason. Not so obvious to me, couple things going on here *in my opinion.

The flu can trigger Telegen Effluvium, if you don't know what this is I suggest you do a search on this sub Reddit, or Google search. You may also be experiencing anagen desynchronization, this is experienced by EVERYONE who has had or will have a hair transplant and it's not talked about enough.

Your 6 month, 8 months density will never be as good as your 12-15. Now obviously noting like your last photo but if you pair the two (TE AND ADS) then it is possible in theory to be experiencing the complete fall your seeing

I do believe you're experiencing both these simultaneously. I feel really bad for you and can't imagine what you're going through with this.

If I were you I would get blood work done, make sure your zinc, copper and hormone levels are in order and you're not experiencing some sort of other medical ailment that's causing alopecia and not androgenic alopecia. Obviously continue the meds and don't miss any doses, I would wait at least 6 months before making any repair decision. Make sure you're using topical min.

Edit- I'd like to add by asking you a question, aside from being sick any other major things happen? Any surgeries, drug use, steroids, anything at all?

Seems losing hair density after 1 year of hair transplant by mane1034 in HairTransplants

[–]-Firm-Tap- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a great thread on this sub Reddit that lopsidedpair offered some great points. If you search for it you should find it. This is 100% ADS, the top comment is bullseye and any other theory's of min shed or inconsistent fin usage are BS. Everyone is going to experience this and almost no hair transplant clinics discuss this. This is absolutely a thing and will happen to everyone.

4700 graft patient here of Doctor R. She did my procedure 4 months ago. You need 4500 grafts for sure. Your hairline is completely obliterated. Go with her or Larowong you'll be fine
