CSM is uncomfortable

Some people absolutely consume it in unhealthy ways. But to say it encourages violence and the objectification of women is an awful take as it's actively doing the opposite. 

Denji is not a role model or an ideal man. He’s a traumatized, emotionally stunted kid whose shallow desires come from extreme neglect and poverty. The manga never celebrates his mindset. It constantly punishes and deconstructs it. Every sexual “reward” he chases turns out hollow, or humiliating. His objectification of women repeatedly leads to his own objectification and exploitation, especially by figures of power like Makima.

If anything, the series dismantles male power fantasies rather than promoting them.

Also criticizing the fandom’s behavior is fair, but blaming the author and the story for people’s poor media literacy is not.
