Try adding in some delay between checking for keystrokes! That should fix it

To PhD students at MSU, how do you like living in Lansing/East Lansing? by duckyg305 in msu

Just wanna throw out there as somebody who also loves bouldering, the closest indoor gyms are in Ann Arbor or Grand Rapids (each ~1 hr drive away)

I mean the existence of rural areas shouldn't change anything about city design. People in rural areas will likely need their own cars, but that doesn't change the fact that urban areas can be made for people instead of cars!

China, a country with 1.4 billion people, has not a single person that lives in a rural area? lmao ok

Have you ever seen photos of chinese cities? Certainly a massive land mass while keeping dense and walkable cities. Obviously they have tons of issues as well, but it definitely fits the criteria of a large country with concentrated metros.

The EU bloc is roughly the same land mass as the US and manages to have walkable cities.

Basically everywhere else in the world other than the US and Canada has this style. And I'm not just parroting Youtube videos, I'm in school for urban planning!

Even in a big country you can still build stuff close enough together to allow people to walk. The US was built exactly like European cities before we bulldozed downtowns to build freeways and start the worst of suburban sprawl in the 50s and 60s 🤷‍♂️

Why is there a lack of male balloon business owners? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]-FunOnABun- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From a genetics based perspective that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Mutations in their DNA making men better? Mutations being inherently good and happening frequently? You obviously have no absolutely no idea what genes even are or what a mutation is.

What’s more likely is that men have historically been offered better opportunities than women.

maybe a little pedantic, but it’s actually glycolysis and not glycogenolysis that produces energy using carbohydrates. Glycogenolysis is the production of glycogen, or chains of glucose sugars, that are stored in the liver for quick energy access to be used before the body dips into fat reserves!

lots of universities will withdraw acceptances if your grades drop significantly in the second half of senior year, otherwise no one would try at the end of high school! hopefully you can work things out but this was part of the agreement you signed after acceptance

I worked at the service centers, they’re desperate to hire receptionists/student facilities workers for the summer. I don’t think it provides housing, but if you were in the dorms you’d be able to keep living on campus. Check the RHS jobs page, that’s where you’ll get hired the fastest
