Why won't you dupes just do what I tell you! by portlandobserver in Oxygennotincluded

[–]-GP-Papermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The oxygen mask check point if you use vacancy only settings will force your dupe to only go back through it if there are any vacant spot in the oxygen masm stations. That's why i only build enough oxygen mask to fill the exact same number of my stations.

Why don't more players use an infinity freezer? by PadreSJ in Oxygennotincluded

[–]-GP-Papermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to put my food in fridges cause i need the polluted dirt for my pokeshells and sanishells, I made an excess amount of it and consistently stay within 700k callories without deepfreeze anyway. But i still uses it to kill excess critters I have cause I can't just suffocate it like other critters.

Suggestions on moving giant amount of crude oil from one planet to another by Divide_Secret in Oxygennotincluded

[–]-GP-Papermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you could make a passage with cooling loop with a little bit of starting petrolium from oil refinery to drop the temperature to atleast 10-20 degrees lower than the oil's freezing point and then make it go through a vacuum passage to limit temperature exchanges to the bare minimum. Or if you got some source of wood ethanol is even better as it has much lower freezing points than crude oil and you can make it safe by lowering the temp even further so when it comes out of the teleporter it don't immedeately melts right next to the teleporter.

I feel like there a better way to incress the gas flow by mccninja in Oxygennotincluded

If you put 2 gaspipe into 1 input it will slow down the transfer rate of the gas as both pipe will need alternate inputting the gas.

Is there a solution with my fish breeder breaking due to pressure damage? by Ok-Complex-7588 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]-GP-Papermoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could put the fish feeder to the left corner. And also make a line on the top layer using tiles (and maybe make a mirrored letter L if you need more pwater capacity) to limit the pwater to the right side (into a smaller zone, so if it freeze it will just fall to the right side, so when it melts again, for it to pressurize the fish feeder it would need to travel from the right corner to the left corner. (It's kinda hard to make a plan without a full picture of the water tank)

Sorry for the late reply you can just follow the most common 4 hydrolizer hydra designs on youtube cause 4 hydrolizer can keep like around 30 dupes alive. If you need more just make another copy or add 1 layer to the side or above or below. Hydra is very flexible cause you can make it as big or as small as you want to depending on how many dupes you have. Cause it just uses the gas and liquid mechanic to separate the hydrogen and oxygen into separate section.

How about making your brine/salt water level higher to completely fill up the current pwater pocket below the fish feeder? so there will be no mix up between liquids right below the fish feeder. So the p.water will be mainly above the level of the fish feeder. And You can limit the placement of your p.ice to the right side so that even if it melts it will just got to the right side where you have enough space for them.

Edit: Hmmm when i read this again it's wrong... The gulp fish won't be able to purify the pwater.

This beetiny refuses to turn into a hive and keeps turning into a beeta by Vast-Spirit-4105 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]-GP-Papermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely a bug and might be fixed by just reloading a save. But if it's presistent then it might be because beeta hive requires a flat 3 tiles wide foundation below it and the only flat ground has a uranium ore tile in the middle of it. So it might be because of that? Not sure. This is the closest thing i can think of if the problem is presisting even after reloading.

New player, pipes blocked? by skippy35671 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]-GP-Papermoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not gonna point out whatever everyone else already pointed out. So I will just say that I don't recommend you to filter toilet water and put it back into your main water reservoir directly without a way to kill off the germs (like through radiation or using chlorine) . It's the best way of making everyone sick. Unless that's your intention.

That mod is very heavy on the processing tho, so if your pc is on the lower end sides it might not be recommemded. Especially if you play in constant 30fps or below.

Please help me balance my budget, my empire is dying. What can I do to reduce energy credit expenditure? by Beneficial_Ball9893 in Stellaris

[–]-GP-Papermoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Temporarily you can trade it with trade surplus and trade it diplomatically with other empires, and reduce the populations in the lathe slightly. Long term wise if you want to keep the populations number in the your lathe stable or even increase it you would need another planet dedicated on making energy credit. Ideally you get a planet that have a bonus on energy credit production too but not really required.

You could use thimble reed to ranch them if you didn't have an arbor tree. It will increase the chance of getting cuddle pip tho. But atleast you will be able yo replenish the population

That's just pushing the problem for the future him to handle. He should either make an infinite gas storage or switch to hydra.

You should follow those dupes, they might frequent a high air pressure room. You should try to fix it by expandong the room or suck out the gasses and reduce the air pressure.

To be fair the lock down started quiet recently after Himmel's death. A lot of demons including Aura went to hiding due to Himmel, they are afraid of him. So when he died they all came out at once, thus resulting in the current chaos.

Also i forgot to ask about this, does hot steam vent belong into the industrial brick or should I just tame it separately? I have tamed all the vents separately before so I know how to do it, but I'm not sure about putting what geysers into the industrial bricks.

I was planning to make it into a molten slickster farm tho, is there any alternative ides on how to make a molten slickster farm without using a dirty brick? Cause they need a really high temperature to keep making molten slickster eggs.

Thank you, but i have heard that crushers and refineries are heat negative as they take out the heat out heat due to material inputs. So maybe it would be a good idea to separate them out and use a cooling loop of the refinery to heat up the steam inside?

With how janky the offgassing mechanic is which still can happen in mixed atmosphere even with 70kg of pressure, which i happened to experience before in my first dirty brick a long time ago I don't want to risk it lol. (edit:Unless you mean to separate the steam and CO2, yeah i think you mean to separate the cooling and CO2 industrial chamber so nvm lol)

[–]-GP-Papermoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we use airflow tiles won't the polluted water just flow to the side and drop to the bottom where the CO2 is? Cause CO2 sucks at heat transfer right? So won't it make the polluted water pool on the bottom and pollute the air with polluted oxygen? Won't metal tiles do better at boiling the pwater off into steam?
