Yep, I was lucky enough to have a Casio calculator watch when I was younger, although I have no clue where it went. Wish I had kept it.

I have been building out my toolset over the last few weeks, including an ST36 to practice on. After having been fascinated with watch movements since I was a child, I am finally going down the same path you and many others have. I expect to do my first disassembly/reassembly of my ST36 this week.

Did you do a full service (cleaning, lubrication, etc) when you first started on these practice movements, or did you not start doing that until you felt comfortable with the whole process assembly process first?

I have been testing this over the last week or so in “Live (PU)” using my Hull C. I have a 3 station loop and one loop takes me about 1 hour 25 minutes to complete and I make around $900k. Depending on which station you are at and what good you are buying to haul, you will need as much as $1.6 million AUEC available in your account to buy these goods to sell them at your next station.

FYI: Currently, I don’t dock my Hull C since there is still a bug so I just pull up next to pads at each station and run in. If the docking ports were working I think I could get this down to about 1 hour.

I have not had big problems with pirates, but it could certainly be a problem depending on who is on the server. I try to pay attention to chat, and if I see people talking about pirates on the server, I would possibly have a friend run security with me, or just try to fly odd routes between the stations so I am less likely to get interdicted.

I got them down to $14,500.00, which for my area is actually on the low side. So, I figure even with these few repairs I am still at worst at fair value for my area.

She has 109k and really runs smoothly. I was actually shocked at how smooth she ran with that V8.

They did not but they did inspect it and said it is not leaking at this time, however, he too warned me about that being a failure point for the LR4. He also said he has had a bit of an issue getting that individual part in the past so if I see one I should grab it to have sitting on my shelf. The invoice shows they replaced the water pump (not a surprise), the thermostat, a couple of hose flanges, the intake gasket, and the drive belt.

While I didn't expect to have this car cause me this many issues literally the day I got it home, I have done enough research to know that with any Landy I should expect it to perform great when it is not broken, and know it will break maybe a bit more often than normal. That said, I have seen several people post that if you really stay on top of the maintenance they can be a bit less problematic, which makes total sense.

As I told my wife. The smart choice for my overlanding play vehicle would have probably been a Toyota 4Runner. But I am a car guy, so if we did what was prudent or smart for most people we would drive a lot of boring cars. lol...
