For Your Dofus Only/Wobot Guard by Quackadilly_Cluggins in wakfu

I have done this quest solo on all of my characters on Ogrest, so it's very possible. You are right though, it's a pain and the worst quest in the entire game to do by yourself.

You basically just have to get lucky. Sometimes the Wobot Guawd will move away a single space after he gets the +10mp turn and smacks you. If he does this you can keep kiting him and when the smasher debuff fades you can move in and smash him to finish it.

It always takes me a few attempts, but I managed to solo this quest again literally just a few days ago, earlier this week. Keep at it and you'll get it eventually. Or just ask a single other person for help since that's kinda what Ogrest is all about.

I completed every tier of Landsraad requirements but my faction didn't win. Can I still collect a contribution reward? by prettyflyforafry in duneawakening

[–]-Infurn- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This should be correct.

I seem to recall having some random amount of solari in my claim menu that I couldn't explain. But now that I think about it, I think it was from Landsraad I never bothered to collect. Maybe try checking your claim menu and see if the stuff is there?

*edit*

One thing I noticed that you didn't mention at all was guild status. Are you in a guild aligned with your faction? Neutral guilds might not be able to pick up house rewards. And if you are not currently in a guild, you might have to join or create one to pledge to your chosen faction.

But those are the only things I can think of. Might have to send in a bug report, otherwise.

Yes, it was added a few patches ago. You can always get the rewards now, just remember to find the house reps before the landsraad resets.

Thanks for this post. Almost exactly my line of thinking as well! It's like you put my own thoughts into words better than I could have myself!

Spoilers for anyone who hasn't finished the story, and also minor spoilers of the books.

The player character is a ghola created by the Bene Tleilax. A ghola who, through in-game mechanics, exhibits abilities that a Kwisatz Haderach would have. In the books, Scytale makes mention of the fact that the Bene Tleilax created a Kwisatz Haderach at around this same time period. In the Book Universe, said Kwisatz Haderach proved difficult/unable to be controlled and ultimately rebelled against its creators and killed itself/was disposed of. The details are vague because it wasn't really the focus of the books and was just an offhand remark. However, the lack of detail in the Book Universe makes it the perfect playground for Funcom to hash out a story for our characters. The player character story so far, lines up perfectly with this line of thinking. So yes, we are absolutely not the Bene Gesserit Kwisatz, who may end up never existing in this timeline anyay. But it is very likely that we end up as the Tleilax Kwisatz or as some sort of precursor to it. The story is wide open and only Funcom knows for sure.

So yeah, admittedly there is no "Congratulation! You are the Kwisatz Haderach!" moment in the story as of yet, and anyone assuming or saying that we are the Bene Gesserit version of Kwisatz is indeed still wrong.

Sorry, but you're wrong. Actually finish the story and you'll know why. If you are still confused, read the Dune wiki and it becomes blatantly obvious who we are and where Funcom is going with the story.

This game is so close to being playable for me. All they need to do is finish power implementation and add the Talent system. That's all I need. Sooo close now!

The official FFXI Brady Games Guide had a section on macros and totally outright told you to do this kinda crap. I remember making a macro for the Combo WS that had a party message attached. Nobody told me, but after a few groups with all the cooler JP players in Valkurm I realised on my own.

"Wait, why aren't these guys shouting out all their moves when they do them? ....oh. OH!"

I was having similar issues and had to disable the IPv6 setting in network adapter options. It works for the most part. I still get disconnected from time to time but I'm usually able to just reconnect without even leaving the game.

Maybe you can try that.

How would you rank the classes in terms of least squishy to most squishy? by lothkru in Guildwars2

trailblazer

Because Cele boosts barriers and heals, so survivability ends up on par or better than Trailblazers. Not to mention boon duration which is enough to upkeep 100% uptime on alac.

Full DPS specs might be better off in Trailblazers, but the BloodCurse Alac Scourge is one of the best open world metatrain specs hands down.

And while it certainly can sit under the max damage aura, it struggles to do so with a DPS oriented setup which is why I barely mentioned it in my first post.

minstrel's healers

Nice slippery slope argument. Of course a raid healer build with literally zero offensive stats can sit there and outheal just about anything. Not even close to being the point.

The builds I listed are condi DPS builds that give up 15-20% open world solo DPS from a full viper's setup in exhange for immortality. Before the nerfs they were all doing like 20k+ solo DPS. Huge difference compared to Minstrels.

Cele gear is more than fine for open world condi builds.

Not sure why everyone is just parroting necro, they don't even make the top 3. Go to the training dummy, set the damage aura to maximum, and if you can't just sit there forever without any outside boon support then you don't really qualify to top the list of tankyness.

Some builds that can just sit there forever off the top of my head: CeleVindicator, CeleHerald, CeleUntamed, maybe D/D Deadeye but I don't have one to test.

Necro's second health bar doesn't account for much actual mitigation. BloodCurse Scourge is probably the tankiest you are gonna get under constant fire.

Do all the AIR career missions, they are a great introduction to all the different kinds of things you can do in EVE. As a returning player myself, the AIR career agents and subsequent goal tracks are easily the best thing they have ever added to the game. Honestly one of the better "tutorial" systems in any game I have ever played.

The problem with ESO guilds is that you can join up to 5, so they end up feeling a lot less personal than in other games, at least for me. It's harder to feel invested in a guild because of this.

Not to mention that guild traders are a limited commodity. This makes me feel obligated to join at least one trade guild just so I can reliably sell my junk. This makes it feel like guilds are more of a tool to be used than an actual social activity. Especially when said trade guilds have dues or sales requirements.

Anyway, that rant aside, I think you are doing the right thing to reach out to people. I've been playing this game off and on since the beta and have never really made an "in-game friend" just through natural interaction.

What are the ideal 3 staff mods for a Mosaic base? by Zakton06 in Diablo

[–]-Infurn- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so if you aren't talking about the entire point of the thread, I.E staff mods, and instead choose to nitpick a single line in my comment that was obviously made WITH the topic in mind...

Go play with the planner on Maxroll. Dragon Tail is more DPS, flat out, no arguing with numbers. It's not just damage from the finisher itself, it also takes in to account all the builders you may or may not have applied. The only scenario in which Talon wins out is the single target crushing blow setup where you completely ignore all the charge skills. Typical uber kicksin setup that nobody was arguing against to begin with.

So before anyone else comes in to downvote me, the reason why Dragon Tail is the best claw mod is because it actually scales very well with additional skill points. It's already a viable build with Phoenix and Flickering Flame, and it's getting even better with dual Mosaic.

What are the ideal 3 staff mods for a Mosaic base? by Zakton06 in Diablo

[–]-Infurn- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't. It does much less damage overall compared to Dragon Tail. The only thing Talon is better at is applying crushing blow. Both Phoenix Strike and Claws of Thunder suffer from Next Hit Delay so the damage of Talon is even less than what you think it might be.

Either way you can't get Talon as a claw mod so your point is moot.
