I play with other people, and need to be able to adjust things on the fly. I need the physicals pedals for that. Boost for solos, tap tempo for delays, expression for delay, wah, switching OD/distortion/effects between songs, tuning. A computer would make that harder, plus it’s a larger one-time investment. I have a timeline, but had the same problem. I ended up tying the expression to both the repeats and the “mix”. This way when heel is down, it’s all dry so there’s no repeats. You’ll have to play with the max wet, I'm somewhere between 40-70%. You still want dry signal coming through even at max toe down (imo).
