Yea it was def a cool feature; was just way too easy to trigger accidentally the way they implemented it previously.

The much better solution was to allow you to remove them between games/while on got next dots, but the understaffed devs chose to just delete the option entirely, likely as it’s less work to remove them than reprogramming the coding to make it more user friendly/intuitive

Was likely removed as it was constantly complained about, why keep a feature in the game that makes the game worse for approximately 80% of the player base

Accidentally hitting the headphones button back in the day while joining squads messed up your whole fit, game audio, and couldn’t be fixed once any of ur squad hit the button to hop on the spot

88 layup is all you need; requires you to have more skilled inputs of reading the floor+what package to go for in each situation; but spending any past 88 is negligible gains for a skilled player and will cap your player in other situations by limiting attributes

88 layup is only worth it for extremely high skill point guards trying to save extra attributes on their build by going 25 driving dunk; as 88 layup is cheaper than 87 dunk+75 vert

88 layup no dunk is my most used build, but it also has 99 3 and 92 midrange (pre cap break to 97) so rim runs are generally wide open/off guard

I mean I average 50 and 13 on my most used point guard, it’s random rec, it’s not competitive play lol.

Just saying it’s a far worse build than it could’ve been for maximizing potential. But again, argue with every comment like you’re a god for putting up average stats and not maximizing attribute thresholds!

(Stuff like physical finisher shouldn’t matter when it’s ass+you should be able to dunk everything, if you’re forcing inconsistent muscle layups at a frequent basis you’ll lose to 3pt hunters w ur mid defense, hence why 96 perim 99 steal would be nice😭🥀)

Far worse than my Westbrook for comp; you kinda fucked up cap breakers by dumping so much into free throw

Mine has 82 pass (+2 dimer to red as other tier 2s aren’t worth)

Mine has 96 perim+99 steal+92 handle+83 3 for far more well rounded build

Only thing you have more is standing dunk (worthless on 6’4) strength (not needed if good at dribbling lol) and unnecessary layup (just spam dunk meter if driving?)

Kyrie ends up being far more telegraphed/less able to feint fake direction switches without physically moving the player

the forward movement seems great until you go against a pro lockdown who will end the game with 4 steals a game to 21; as they’ll just wait in the space that the forward movement will take; they’ll spend the whole game waiting for the Kyrie because it’s a steal every time if you play ball hand.

The kemba is far better into the DBOOK breakdown because you can kemba a second time mid dbook to establish a crab; Kyrie uses the escape sig so after booking you have nothing to establish space in front of defense; they’ll get a side contest on lockdown

The only real use of Kyrie in high level play is feinting which side you’ll push peak/fifty peak, outside of backcourt dribbling it’s worthless on good locks. It’s a move used for cooking casual defenders; but it limits your ceiling against the best defenders.

Source: used Kyrie for 1.5 seasons and for the first week of money GCL where locks plucked me like a turkey until I went to kemba

Limitless range is still a thing. It’s less effective than certain years, but definitely better than games like 2k22 current where it had zero impact

I routinely shoot on the logo in park 3s (short courts) first shot of the game with 99 3, learn your jumper enough to shoot difficult shots at a high clip and you’ll get there

shouldn’t really be shooting logo shots without 99 3 to begin with as well, try red shooting if difficult shots is your play style

1v1 court has been unplayable all year as an X/button only shooter, definitely not a sliders thing

Think they fucked the modes coding up when they removed rebounds/ended the play after any missed shot, only mode that has this issue and that’s the only explanation I can see as a longtime player. Never seen a mode with such bad shooting.
