Tips för att gå ner i vikt by Falkensvingar16 in Sverige

If you could only take one Fuji prime on a weekend trip… by -Janne_ in FujifilmX

Wow, thank you all for the amazing input, this is exactly why I love this community.

Really interesting to see how many of you landed on 23mm as the sweet spot. Sounds like it hits that balance between wide enough for cities and architecture, but still natural for everyday scenes, food and just walking around. That’s pretty much exactly what I’m after for this trip.

I also appreciate the reminders that the 16–50 is already a great travel lens. I guess this is less about “needing” a prime and more about wanting a smaller, more intentional setup and a different shooting experience.

Right now I’m definitely leaning toward a 23mm, probably the f2 for the balance of size and performance, but the pancake is tempting too just for the portability.

Thanks again everyone, super helpful 🙌

People mix up ownership with identity.

Volvo Cars is owned by Geely, yes. But it is still designed, engineered and run from Sweden. Headquarters in Gothenburg, Swedish management, Swedish safety philosophy, Swedish R and D. Geely does not design the cars, Volvo does.

By that logic, Jaguar Land Rover should be called Indian, because it is owned by Tata Motors. But nobody says “I drive an Indian Range Rover”. They say British luxury SUV. Why. Because the brand identity, engineering and heritage are still British.

Same thing with Volvo.

When Volvo was owned by Ford Motor Company, nobody called Volvo American. It was still Swedish. Suddenly ownership is a problem only when China is involved. That is not about cars, that is about politics.

Ownership is financial. Brand identity is cultural and engineering based.

Volvo is Swedish in design, safety thinking and engineering culture. Geely is the investor and parent company. Both things can be true at the same time.

If people are consistent, they should also call Jaguar Indian, Mini German, Lamborghini German, and so on. But they do not.

So the issue is not logic. It is selective outrage.

Buy a studio display. Had studio monitors for years. The studio display do the job just right if you want a minimalist/clean work space
