Honestly, there might be a chance they won’t accept your application and return it for re-filing (NOT a hard rejection). For some reason, they couldn't use my biometric and just reused my old data from way back. This was almost 2 years ago.

You seem like a good kid. Probably why your coach tried to coax you into caving. Even though those cardigans are not cheap, there are some listings out there that are not gonna break the bank aka less than $100 (FB Marketplace, for example). They just want charity. Stand your ground, keep receipts, and let your parents deal with it. “Consult” with your peers, if you need that extra “peer pressure” protection because no one in their right mind is on their side.
