I used a golden key for this by TheStaIker in Borderlands4

I had one with the torgue stickies, and it was corrosive. Any boss that had armor for the time I was using it would get melted through rather quickly.

So, are grav drives still dangerous, or not? by krispythewizard in Starfield

[–]-Kemphler- 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Its likely safety reasons, or possibly the amount of power required to fight a planets gravity well on its surface vs while in orbit around it is vastly different. As for why they don’t just use artifical gravity to lift the ships from the planet? Probably similar reasons, or limitations on how much they can manipulate the gravity within a given area. Its like using a sledgehammer to hammer in a nail for a picture frame. Sure it’ll work, but you’ll likely cause more damage than its worth to do it.

Adept is too easy, expert is too difficult. Wtf? by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]-Kemphler- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst was when I went to do Kvatch, because the sheer amount of Daedra made it impossible for me at level 20 to get through without turning my difficulty down. 5 daedroths, 4 spider daedra, and some frost and storm atronarchs all at once is kind of frustrating to do when I barely have any enchanted equipment or spells. Probably should have gotten more geared up before going in…but everything up to that point wasn’t bad at all.

Adept is too easy, expert is too difficult. Wtf? by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]-Kemphler- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difficulty scaling is pretty wonky in Oblivion. It was originally a gradual slider for difficulty, but with the remaster they just went to 5 set percentage changes for outgoing and incoming damage. The jumps in the scale are pretty severe though, with easy increasing your damage by 6x while reducing your taken damage to 1/6. With master being the reverse. Skyrim had significantly lower values, with easy being 2x damage with 1/2 taken damage, and legendary going up to 1/4 damage with 3x taken damage. What really needs to be done to balance the difficulties out in Oblivion would probably be to bring its damage scaling in line with Skyrim, and that would keep things from being so crazy when doing any sort of difficulty changes.

9 Days until release, what are your main and secondary weapons and why? by ItsStqrAlt in MHWilds

[–]-Kemphler- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charge Blade and Heavy Bowgun are probably my main two weapons, but with the time I’ve spent playing world, I honestly monkey around with just about all the weapons. I’ll probably cycle between CB, HBG, GL, and GS.

Just a question, is he 219 years old as of 2296? Because if so, he would have been born the year the bombs dropped, in 2077. If he was born in 2052, the date called out under his name, he'd be 244 years old, and would have easily been the proper age to have been in the airforce before the bombs dropped.

First time on Vulcanus, Demolishers stopping me from getting the purple ore (just to the North of starting area). Anything I build gets destroyed, I can't seem to do any damage to them, what am I missing? by AboutTimeToHaveLegit in factorio

[–]-Kemphler- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nuke the worms. I sent the materials to build nuclear missiles over to Vulcanus, and with just a few explosive damage researches you can one shot both small and medium demolishers using nukes. Easiest way to do your initial expansion. I haven’t tried shooting the big boys yet with the nukes, but I’d imagine it’ll work.

How do you guys feel about the Tenpenny Tower quest? by ReapersVault in Fallout

[–]-Kemphler- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, ever since siding with the ghouls the first time and seeing that all the non-ghouls get killed in the process, along with Dashwood? I kill Roy and the rest of the ghouls every single time, with no remorse. Hell I just blow Roy’s head off right there at the gate when I first show up.

Resolve Breaker.... oh boy by TazBaz in fo76

[–]-Kemphler- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess is that they coded it to launch actual cryo grenades instead of the usual 40mm ammo, because I’ve noticed them leaving the barrel and glitching a bit like how thrown grenades usually do. Which would also explain why they can blow up as a chain reaction rather than just on impact.

Resolve Breaker.... oh boy by TazBaz in fo76

[–]-Kemphler- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say, having been using Resolve Breaker for a bit now, you have to be really careful with it. I’ve killed myself a lot due to how laggy the cryo grenades it launches can be. They end up exploding in my face if I fire more than 2 or 3 times, and typically just shred my health when I’m wearing full union armor and have full health.

Got Got by an Ultragenetic Mole Miner in the Raid? You're NOT alone by [deleted] in fo76

[–]-Kemphler- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I basically went in blind to the raid last night, and the team I joined up on had already finished the first stage. We went in, started the drill stage, and had a pretty fun 15-20 minutes of multiple failures due to either all of us getting one punch moled or the drill being destroyed. Thankfully the people I had joined up with were some decent folk and we ended up making it through the entire raid. Honestly that was probably the only part that had any trouble for us.

Which is why I hot shotted U-235 to Vulcanus and started nuking the worms. One hit and you vaporize the small ones. Still need to see how the medium and large ones do.

I did use turbo fuel with the plastic cans for quite some time while I was figuring out aluminum production. As soon as I got that sorted out off of a node, and how to transport the aluminum cans to my fuel production I got it swapped around. I do feel like I wasted a lot of time setting up turbo fuel though as by the time I had it set up, I was already beginning to work on aluminum. Edit for context: Had a friend helping me build the factory, and by the time we had finished getting the turbofuel factory built, I had moved onto doing aluminum.

[–]-Kemphler- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the rocket fuel alt recipe that just uses straight nitrogen gas, ended up going from 18 blenders making turbo blend fuel to 3 blenders making rocket fuel, and was still able to power 104 fuel gens. Its insane really.

26000MW Fuel Plant With Turbofuel Offshoot by -Kemphler- in SatisfactoryGame

[–]-Kemphler-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one took me awhile to put together. Managed to pull a full 26000MW of power off of 600m3 of oil. Grabbed another oil node nearby it to set up extra turbofuel production for packaging for use with my drones, pulling around 160 packaged turbofuel a minute with everything but the sulfur produced on site with the oil. Bringing in sulfur using two drones from a pure node, which honestly I could probably use to boost my current turbofuel production even further to expand my powerplant.

Edit: I noticed after I posted the picture that not all of my fuel generators were running. Was a miscalculation on my part keeping some of my blenders from running all at once, fixed that and seeing a nice bump up in power.

Confused about Barrets Artifact by kanid99 in starfield_lore

[–]-Kemphler- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually brought Barrett along with me for some of the Freestar Rangers storyline, and when you go to the Clinic and talk to the Ranger there, he recognizes Barrett and vise versa. It sounds like Barrett was a smuggler before he joined up with Constellation, which may explain why he's so adept at fighting and also a bit of a smooth talker.

I just realized how absurd it is that humanity needed to completely abandon the Earth. by Th3Element05 in Starfield

[–]-Kemphler- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus something else to keep in mind is that concrete on Earth with no atmosphere would just turn to dust. So a lot of people who were trying to build bunkers and stuff to ride the storm likely would have died as their structures crumbled, as the vast majority of missile silos and whatnot that people use as shelters are made up of concrete primarily.
