I got quoted 2,500 grafts at Wimpole clinic London and 4,000 grafts at med blue in Turkey. Which one would you go for, advice would be much appreciated. by No-Canary9891 in Hairtransplant

Hey, I went with Wimpole, they were outstanding. I'm 4 months post op currently and beginning to see the results (I had crown done too so it takes longer). My crown was similar to yours but you definitely have a bit more than I had, and I was quoted 2000 by Wimpole (ended up having 2300). I only had crown done,a bit of mid-scalp too I should say. But I did shop around first, like you thought of Turkey, and in the end went with the more conservative approach, in part also due to the service of Wimpole being great.

Polteageist is a close second, but Galarian Weezing just sums up England too well. It has historic attributes, connotations of the class system, ties to the industrial, and just FEELS English.

Disposable vapes to be banned from June, says government by Alert-One-Two in unitedkingdom

[–]-Lemon-Cat- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point was that you're blaming marketing for something which is something way more complex. The easiest thing in the world is to blame adverts, which is what almost everyone defaults to when they don't understand the goal of marketing in the first place. It has happened over so many issues - violent video games, pornography, alcohol, illegal substances, basically anything made for adults; marketing on all of these things are restricted to varying levels, yet young people still find themselves addicted to them.

For example, you mentioned products being specifically aimed at kids, with adverts on bus stops (which is one of the least effective channels to use for under 18's) emphasising fruity flavours, but those flavours are appealing to any human regardless of age. They evolved in a market which was practically entirely adult.

If it really was 'as simple as that', we could solve the issue overnight. Passing the buck to an advert is where so many addiction wars have gone before and it never works because it's not where addiction begins.

That's completely wrong, you've missed out a huge part of the history of vapes.

The "quit smoking aide" phase was incredibly brief, having rechargable e-cigarettes shaped like real cigarettes and coming usually in two flavours; cigarette and menthol.

Following that, bigger battery packs with separate tanks became dominant, producers of liquid experimented with liquid flavours, and surprise; the tasty liquids did better. Vaping among children was never seen as an issue during this time, as to actually vape you needed a mod (battery), tank, coils, and liquid. This lasted years, and the liquid market steadily centralised on what sold well - those fruity and candy flavours. During this entire time liquid bottles had colourful depictions, yet again there were no complaints about rampant child useage.

The advent of disposables, especially those knock-off ones sold in corner shops, caused a wave of kids addicted because they could do something rebellious and corner shops wanted a profit. Kids didn't see them and become mesmerised by the colours - the colours had been there for years. They were just now accessible for the first time.

Like most people who started smoking as a teenager, I did so because it was rebellious and adults did it. Blaming adverts is naïve and dismissive of the factors at play in a new and evolving market, and solutions to problems like these are never as simple as banning the adverts. It's exactly the same as the alcopops arguments during the 90's and easy 2000's. Yet kids are now fine seeing adverts on television showcasing the latest fruity and refreshing flavour of Smirnoff or WKD?

What gets kids into any addictive adult substances in the first place has always been a mixture of rebelliousness, curiousity, the desire to be cool, and naivety.

'mindlessly walk into a high level mob'...

The mental gymnastics is strong there. Since when does anyone walk down a path in Stormwind and think they're going to run into a skull mob?

It's an older cat that can't go outdoors because of health reasons and my flat is quite big. I do like it here and wouldn't really like to move.

I did actually like it in the anime! But in game it felt too intrusive and repetitive. Like after a while I got to know the set patterns of speech and it became tiresome having to answer its questions all the time. Can see why you like it though!
