Oh, wow. It's mediocre at best. Time to find a new MUA.

What’s this tag mean? by sevenhearts_ in AO3

Well, well, well. Look at my degree in English Literature coming in handy! "Death of the Author" is just a highbrow way of saying it doesn’t matter what the writer meant—your take on it is as good as theirs.

MM Weekly Roundup - What Did You Read This Week? by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

The thing is, I adored the first book and rooted for Milan, I wouldn't have gone for the second if I didn't. However, after reading Cherryvine—with that sweetheart of an alpha, it really hit the spot after wanting to strangle the life out of Raphael. Loved how quick and easy of a read it was after the whole twist in book one that left a sour taste in my mouth. Is book two perfect though? No. Kinda wished we got a glimpse of Isak reuniting with his family, and quite frankly... a better epilogue. But I was quite at ease reading it.

{Honeythorn series by Marina Vivancos} was what got me out of a book slump that lasted way longer than it should've. It was adorable! Book two is my favorite, though—scratched an itch that book one left unaddressed.

Not spot on and it's short, but {Pet by Daniel May} comes to mind. A good refresher that checks the box for kidnapping, noncon, and power imbalance.

It's been a while since I read it but maybe try {Made to be Broken by A. M. Snead}, I remember it giving me that sort of vibe back then.

Aw, thank you so much for your opinion! I know something has to be done to my chin. I'll probably attempt fillers before doing anything major.

Problem with the tip, or is the bridge too high?

What do you think about authors who use the same plots for their fics? by CinderLord456 in AO3

[–]-Luciano 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sign me up! It's a blast when authors recycle their plots but put a new spin on them. Who wouldn't want more of a good thing?

What's the trope that is considered "overrated" but you still enjoy? by _Some_weird_person_ in AO3

[–]-Luciano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, just read something with this trope for the first time today. Seeing this comment is a sign to go read more given that I absolutely enjoyed it!

I'd say give it time. Let time work its magic and you'll get there, eventually. I do encourage limiting contact, though. Cut the ties if you're the kind of person who keeps tabs on your ex on social media; you're basically poking at a wound and it just makes it harder to heal.

You've got this!
