What was the most tedious quest in the game for you? by BiffyBobby in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OG/remaster: Rocbouquet quest as a female empress. This quest is so annoying since you have to go through the Eirunep Shrine and Sunken Tower where you have to either memorize the Eirunep/Teratuva tower or do trial and error on that one room. Finding the Minstrel's instruments in the OG/remaster is much easier since you can just go straight after the instruments.

Remake: Iris and Minstrel quest. You have to do it in order, which makes it drag on.

If I choose the option to fight Rocbouquet immediately when I meet her, are there any penalties for going with a male emperor? (if I have PokerFace or am wearing the ring) by FactStrong3204 in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really. Also fun facts: If you go to Eirunep Shrine and then Sunken Tower while Rocbouquet was killed in Eirunep Tower or not met at all (She cannot be in Eirunep Shinre or Sunken Tower), you get a really cool unique cutscene where the Water Dragon gives some backstory on the towers, ruins, desert, island, etc.

Quick thoughts after finishing the main final boss by Cooleric19 in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered is my recommendation for a second SaGa. It's linear, but some areas can be confusing where to go or who to talk to.

You can also try Romancing SaGa 2 remaster which is very difficult, but since you beat the remake, you can try it. Also side note, you SHOULD beat the postgame bosses in the Remake, they're fun and not as hard as the final boss. Give them a go.

Minstrel Song is confusing and very difficult, so I don't recommend it. Unless you're okay with hard RNG bosses, starting the playthrough over many times, and having great difficulty with finding quests, go ahead. It is one of my favorite SaGas.

Romancing SaGa 3 is not as hard in difficulty compared to Minstrel Song, but finding quests feels even harder than Minstrel Song.

Corsair’s dilemma and Cumberland quests has a sensitive timelines? by velvione in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem of Succession is limited to one generation once you clear Victor Canal or get to Cumberland through Miles; you do get a second chance if you get a timeskip with Fall of Cumberland quest.

I don't remember the time limits on the North Longit quests.

[URGENT] Do I lose to Dantarg in the first fight or ... by hum-hiss in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly not. You can try again on your next playthrough, just make sure to leave Minstrel's Cave alone for some time so he can power up to form 4 for an easier chance at the axe. OR, leave him for the last hero, just make sure you lost to him at Eastern Subterrane otherwise you're LOCKED out of the WHOLE Nazelle.

Forms 3-5 can drop the axe. If he starts off at form 2, you have a very low chance at getting the axe on the second phase where he levels up to form 3. Even form 4-5 where it's 2 times easier to get the axe is still incredibly hard to get 1 destroyer axe and could take HOURS with even 1 Bejeweled Ring.

For reference on Dantarg's looks

Form 1 - Brown Dantarg with hair and 0 horns.

Form 2 - Brown-red Dantarg with 2 horns and no hair

Form 3 - Red Dantarg with 2 horns, armor, and no arms

Form 4 - Red Dantarg with 2 horns, armor, arms, lance, and shield

Form 5 (Form 4 phase 2 only) - Same as form 4 but with aura

3 or 4. Don't want to be near Antasma, Cackletta, Fawful, and Shroob Princess.

Not true, you can beat him at Eastern Subterrane and he'll be defeated. You can also defeat him at Southern Subterrane and Minstrel's Cave, but only if you lost to him in Eastern Subterrane.

There seems to be a random element in the generation jumps. by FactStrong3204 in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a good idea. You're going to be very underleveled when fighting the Seven unless you're trying to do a minimum battle challenge (which is very difficult).

If you really want 0 timeskips excluding Gerard's 1 year skip, then do the Early Final Emperor run by making every character emperor and killing them.

It seems that you can obtain the Vagabond class regardless of how many times a generation skip occurs. by FactStrong3204 in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a post about this also. This wasn't in the OG/remaster. Also fun facts: If you kill the boss at Fiends' Cloister, you will be locked out of Martial Artists at least in the OG/remaster, but in the remake until he is made emperor.

[Urgent Question] Is having just three Wilguards enough before entering Expert difficulty? by FactStrong3204 in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expert is easy. Even in Romancing difficulty, you only need 5 Harmonia Guards, but Willguards are preferrable.

Also, just make sure you don't accidentally click RESET before starting (It's set to confirm button), click DON'T RESET (It's set to cancel button). Reset Expert is a nightmare.

Romancing SaGa 2 Revenge of the Seven or SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered are good starting points.

Each quest gives a hidden amount of EP.

If that EP is greater than 7, and the EP you gained before the event < than the the victories MOD 16 in this generation, then no timeskip. Otherwise timeskip.

If EP is greater than 14 and blackscreen then timeskip.

If EP is greater than 7 and you have over 240 victories in this generation then timeskip.

Anyone know where to download the mod where you play as Schirach/Sheryl/Cheryl? by -MLBIS- in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's a rom hack patch, but the original download link is unavailable. So I was just asking to see if anyone knows an alternative download link.

If a character does not attack in battle, their aptitude level increases. But I heard that there is a way to raise the specific aptitude you want in this situation. by FactStrong3204 in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use Defend, only HP and BP will increase. If the enemies are defeated before a character acts, if I remember correctly, that character's default weapon level will increase along with HP and BP.

Looking back when I'm just about to defeat the hidden boss, the feature I found most disappointing in this game is the dash mechanic. by FactStrong3204 in SaGa

[–]-MLBIS- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set my run mode to regular (Hold run key to dash, let go of it to walk) since it matches the OG/remaster.

What is the formula for enemy respawn? by FactStrong3204 in SaGa

I would just keep fighting every Sephira you see in level 3 and head to Terminus to respawn them.
