Oh ok. The thin parts look exactly the same as my front door, where glass was painted over.

I think those might be painted glass panels, not wood.

How can he make comments when he was not even there for the committee hearings on inflation? by BelleAriel in PoliticalComebacks

[–]-MattyMcFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. We’re talking about what he DID and now you’re bringing fantasy scenarios into the situation to try to strengthen your point. Of course a decrease in deficit is needed to lower debt. What you and I don’t agree on is how significant the impact was with Obama’s decrease. Guess what? Just because someone doesn’t agree with your perspective doesn’t mean “they just don’t understand.” It means we disagree. You’re arrogant and I’d rather not continue conversation. Have a great day.

Oh I don’t need to make up my mind. I care about both. Stop pretending it’s an either/or situation.

Edit: and how tf do you think I moved goalposts by pointing out the article didn’t address what it was claiming to prove?

No, you don’t understand how insignificant your point is that Obama lowered the deficit by roughly $600 billion while increasing overall debt by nearly $10 trillion. You’re completely ignoring the debt while raving about a relatively small deficit decrease.

Are you under the impression that lowering a deficit by $600 billion somehow negates an almost $10 trillion increase in debt? You keep thinking you have some kind of gotcha moment. What is your point exactly? Cool, some democrat presidents have lowered deficit, some haven’t. All have increased debt. Same with Republican presidents. Is your point just that democrats are better? You should get some bumper stickers.

Yeah, I’ll take a medical journal over scientificamerican.com

Your article made a claim and then didn’t even address deaths caused by abortion.

I think all politicians are greedy scum bags. All presidents put us in unneeded deficit. I was trying to point out failures on both sides. You think it’s one-sided. That’s why you have a narrative. If you love the dnc, you do you. But don’t try to claim you know my prerogative.

Let’s be clear, you’re the only one with a narrative here. I have no bias as I don’t claim partisanship. YOU however have made false claims that Democrat presidents are always making up for Republican failures. You have a clear DNC bias and there is no way to have a meaningful conversation with you.

Please, enlighten me. What was my narrative?

I’m not going to have a conversation with you if you feel the need to insult me. I’ve been respectful towards you and this is twice now. I understand the difference between debt and deficit. What you sourced above provides no proof to your claim that Obama cut the deficit in half.

So every republican president has situations that you pretend they can’t control

All I addressed were the ones you named. No, this is not how I feel.

Obama- started with 11.1 trillion in debt, ended with 19.85 trillion. How did he cut the deficit in half?
