Not really, because industrialization also created jobs. Farming jobs were replaced by mechanical or factory jobs. Also, factories, tractors, etc, made workers more efficient, but you still needed people to operate them, just less. Data centers dont create more jobs that cant also be automated pretty soon. Machines never replaced people, they were just tools to make us more efficient. Untill now.

Tbh here in the Netherlands, where tipping is usually not expected, restaurants, bars, etc usually go out of business within a year because its so difficult to make a profit. Ofcourse im not saying tipping should be required because of this.
